After living in Minnesota and Chicago for over 30 years even though we live in MA now, Mike sure butchers many of the WI, MN and IL town's names. The other guy pronounces the towns much more accurately.

DMW - 2009-09-13 8:36 PM Thanks to David Tri's for the updates for the bike and run split on course.  They helped keep me sane - I was super nervous!

Steve had some cramping issues on the swim, a solid bike, and then managed to pick off a few people on the run.  It was hot out there today!  He ended up feeling great after mile 18 on the run and finished strong with about a 24 minute PR over IMWI 2007.  No KQ this time around, but he did tell me he's considering a double IM.  Surprised

What are you kidding me!  Your HUBBY did a 3:33 mary in a IronMan!  Thats GREAT!!!

Congrats to all the finishers so far.

I'm missing watching the kids run across.   I understand why, but it takes an element of the finish away.

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let people know I was pulled from the course at mile 80 of the bike.  I was having a great ride and was keeping heart rate in z1-2.  About mile 60 I started barfing and couldn't hold anything down.  Just wanted to rest at the 80 mile aid station and get going.  Weak pulse, and extreme nausea and a few other things ended up getting me pulled from the race.  Got an ambulance ride back to the terrace for 2 bags of fluid.  Was down 14 pounds.  I am completely devastated and will take awhile to get over this one.  Thanks for tracking us.

Man, I am so sorry to hear this.   Take care of yourself, Bryan (and let that view of other racers still on the course motivate you to the next challenge

Bryan - I am so sorry to hear this...I was out there spectating today, and a good friend of my sister's had to be taken out because of a mechanical issue that couldn't be fixed...and I know how dissapointed he is.  You'll get 'em next time!!
