PIC???  Pretty please????

I haven't seen a single kickazz costume yet today and it makes me sad.  I should clarify that... I haven't seen a single kickazzz costume IN PERSON today as Salty's costume is clearly kickazz worthy!

Will do, when I get a chance!

That's so sad you guys can't dress up.

I know!  I really thought this place would be on-board with us getting into some fancy get-ups, but it was pretty soundly poo-poo'd by the higher ups for some reason.  Pout.

Yay.  An extra day to wear jeans to work instead.  Yay.

*totally rolling my eyes as I typed that*

Hmmm, which is worse, not being allowed to dress up or being tricked into dressing up (and being the only one in costume)?  At my first 'real' job (ya know, one where they actually hand you a paycheck and collect taxes) a (male) friend of mine convinced me that everyone was dressing up and that I should, too.  At the time I was a waitress helper/busperson at a casual, typical old-person type eating establishment (not fancy).  I wore a clown outfit, complete with face makeup, a big floppy hat, and a giant bowtie.  Nope, not one other soul was in costume, I was completely set up.  I wanted to beat up my friend or just disappear into a hole in the earth.  Aaahhh, yet another embarrasing moment in my teenaged years, but at least the clientele thought it was cute as did some of the waitresses. sigh.

I wore a witches cap on Halloween one night at work…..got called into a patients room as he was passing away.  Suddenly did not seem appropriate.  Another time I wore a black leotard with tights and pinned on black tail and ears for a cat.  my shift supervisor was not too thrilled but the tele monitors were going bonkers that night.

Haha, as a nurse….and an ole ER nurse I can assure you the comment is usually "I didn't recognize you with clothes on" because of scrubs for work---and patient gowns covering so little of the body

Oh good! Kirsten! Katiefrog! The rest of you fur-feather-scale-skin-etc. lovers!

Kingsley's cat is stuck on the neighbour's roof (pretty slanted). About 24 hours now (cats really don't do well without food/water). They've tried enticing her with food and water; she approaches but then runs away. She almost got on a wide board that they put between the rooves, but some people walked by and she got scared and ran away from the edge again. Swatting her off with a long stick (or two) is not an option; she's a fat cat with prior serious back injury from a fall (OK, OK, not the smartest cat in the world). Long pool nets aren't quite long enough.

Any thoughts at all? Thank you!

For inspiration (even if just to vomit? sorry!), here is a picture of us and Osiris.

As a general rule, they make their own way down from whereever they get up to.  Is there no way to get up on the roof?  Maybe just keep the board up there overnight and she will come down on her own when there is no one around?  How did the cat get up there?  Sorry, not really much help.  Can you at least get some food up to her so that she can eat if she up there too much longer?

All excellent replies. Thanks so much. She kept climbing up and up a fig tree (that's the only way to get to the neighbor's roof) then made a meter or so leap to the roof.

Cats are dumb.  So, she *could* get down the same way, if she chose to.  Can you put some food in the fig tree to encourage her to it?

Yup. And as I pointed out, this ain't the smartest one in the world either.

I'll see if the boys can put something yummy on the fig tree (and a partridge in a pear tree ... )

Good Day Everyone, I hope all is well. I may be a bit less present in the foreseeable future, I have some internal resetting going on. NBD, but if you're wondering, there is your answer.

{MELON PRESS} Dub6 ... haven't given you one of those or called you that in a while!

Internal resets are as vital as recouping periods in training ...

Mutti's new helper came today so I've been busy with that.
