Wonderful meeting everyone this morning! I am getting everything organized at the hotel room right now, and will likely head back into town for dinner/athlete briefing.

I plan to do one more swim tomorrow morning, around 20-30 minutes to make sure goggles are good. I will be at the moose around 10 am for the swim, then a quick bike to run through the gears before check-in.

Anyone know where I can get extra tickets for the athlete dinner?

Going to be skipping the dinner and meeting (it's quite a drive back into town from my place).  Let me know if there is anything important they tell you that I might miss.

Got the photo form this AM shrunk down small enough to post.  The full res is still here: http://i.imgur.com/ASx4d.jpg

Great to see everyone.  Sorry, but I had to swim with my "real team"

I will be at the athlete dinner tonight.

I will be in jeans and a red golf shirt, and will have a TPR Jacket in case it is chilly in the tent.

My wife is the gorgeous red head that looks at me with a combination of admiration, disgust, and annoyance.

Does anyone know when I can drop my bike off at Tribike Transport on Monday morning?  I forgot to ask when I picked up my bike.

I will actually be wearing a black TPR t-shirt.

Come and say "Hi"

I think that the banquet tent is the huge one closest to the resort.

According to the woman at the Powerbar Ironman Perfrorm tent, they will have lemon-lime on the bike, orange-mango on the run and berry in the med tent for our drinking pleasure. Here's to none of us drinking the berry! Sorry I haven't made it to any of the meet-ups. I am chilling with the family at Blackwell Island RV Park. (spot 54)

Can someone confirm that we do have access to our T1/T2 bags on race morning to make any last minute adjustments...

Yes you do.  At least every other year that's been the case.

Good to meet so many of you at the swim this morning!  Wish you all the best for Sunday, and remember, that cold beer will be waiting if you want it after you finish.   Rip it up out there!

Rolled into town today at noon.  I'll be going for a swim tomorrow at 7am to check out the conditions at exactly the same time of the race start.  I'll start at the Moose #5, just in case anyone wants to join me (I'll be wearing an Ironman wetsuit).  In any case, good luck to all the BTers, er HBers Laughing

PS - Look who showed up on my bike when I picked it up today at TBT (Disclaimer: I borrowed the design from 3Aims, I think)

Anyone know if any mango is actually in the mango-flavored Perform, or is it just artificial flavoring.  Deathly allergic to mango here.  Surprised

Aw shucks you guys... is this some sort of last minute conspiracy to make me slap down the plastic and get on that plane?!?!?!  Truth be told you guys did the hard work while I sat here and played arm-chair QB.  I guess that's allowed when you've actually been a semi-successful QB in a former life, so I'm glad most of you didn't mind (I seem to recall rufflin' a few feathers).

It was 100% the right thing for me to drop out of this race and focus on some non-sports health issues, and my life is more balanced and I'm overall more healthy today because of it, despite being a few pounds heavier... plus seeing that shrink every week this whole year made even IM NYC look cheap!  But requesting that [partial] refund didn't exactly feel good (I'm told the right thing rarely does), and I've been living vicariously through the HB badazznezz in this thread so evidently displayed by you all.

In fact, I owe you guys some thanks because this was an experiment in "giving back" which I am trying to do in a number of areas of my life where in the past it had become dangerously overly self-involved (unofficial BT IMCdA coach, volunteering at a substance abuse recovery group, etc, driving someone to/from harrisburg/baltimore for an every-other-week appointment they otherwise couldn't make, etc)... and you guys made it easy and enjoyable.  So thanks for helping me along my own journey, even if lining up on the start line wasn't part of it this year.  I have little doubt that someday soon I'll be racing along side of a few of you somewhere.

Group hug (always dangerous with a bunch of HBs).

Make no mistake -- you'll be doing the race this year.  You'll be with me the whole way.  Thanks for everything Josh!  Give me a shout if you ever head out to Boulder.  Best to you, Cam.

My disc cover just ripped in half when I tried putting it on my 1080. Guess I won't be using that tomorrow...

Everyone please make sure to triple check your mechanicals. We don't want anyone on the side of the road tomorrow

Sarah, the bottle I have lists natural flavor as an ingredient. Not sure if that means mango or not. Maybe not worth the risk?
