Holy Batman Costume.. that one is gonna be tough.. I haven't even looked in my son's cub scout candy bag from his party last night though.. so really trying to be good. This year I made his costume coz wanted to be Marty the circus zebra from Madagascar 3. I got him a rainbow afro wig. I used white polyester to make the body and painted polkadots on it. I messed up the measurements a bit and it fits a bit tight on his butt.. Reminds me of the disco pants of the 70's. It looks so funny. |

Oh man - I've had a peanut butter cup every day this week. Fortunately they make them smaller than ever!! |

I bought gummy worms and witches finger lollipops. No real tempation. (However that bag of chocolate covered nuts will have to go. My challenge will be to stay out of them completely. Not even one. lol) Kate, that costume sounds great! |

Oh man, that's going to be a tough one today. I have a candy bowl on my desk for customers. I didn't do so good yesterday with it, but today...NO CANDY FOR ME! Challenge accepted. Got a 3 mile run in this morning, and looking forward to 1500 in the pool at lunch today. Happy Halloween everyone. Good luck today. |

I've added myself to the spreadsheet and hope I didn't miss anything too important. Love the energy on here! Great challenge! I'm going downtown for some Halloween fun with my daughter and grandson. May allow myself a tasty drink, but will be staying out of the candy. Happy Halloween!!! |

A couple years ago I made a gorilla suit for my hubby and every year he goes to his sisters and scares all the kids and moms that come up the walk to the door. Two years ago I made a lamb costume for my granddaughter that was cute. The candy challenge will be easy for me as we don't buy any (no kids come to our house out in the country) and have no little kids. My challenge will be my granddaughters birthday today, I baked her a cake this morning and have to decorate it when it cools. Will be hard to keep my fingers out of the icing bowl. |

Here is the surprising thing for me; I haven't had any Halloween candy at all this year. Easter and Halloween are my two biggest problem holidays b/c I will eat candy all day long. Normally, candy corn is high on my list but I haven't had any this year and I am planning to avoid it tonight as I hand out candy to kids. Can I hold out strong? Fingers crossed. |

Candy corn is also my weakness. It's like eating sugared wax but I gladly suffer through the stomach ache. And those little pumpkins...omg they are tasty. Yes, you can hold out strong! |

Last time I was there was when I did my first tri 3 years ago. It isn't reasonable to get to in this time frame, but I want to keep my eye on the goal. I am meeting up with BTers in January in Fla and want to look not horrible in a bathing suit. Activity: I am two weeks into my marathon training and I cannot get my mind wrapped around it. I need to swim once per week and bike twice. Getting the strength training is has always been my weakness (no pun intended). Nutrition Plan: PORTION size and limiting wine. I am a pescatarian (eat fish, no meat, do eat dairy and eggs). The meals are healthy, I don't crave candy. Give me salt and grease and I will sell state secrets, so we don't keep anything like that around the house. Basically I need to just keep the portions in check and limit the wine in the evenings. Is there a spreadsheet out there? Staying away from the Halloween candy is easy for me. We live in the middle of nowhere and get no trick or treaters, the kids are all moved away so none gets in the door here. Whew, a challenge that is easily met! |

Not too worried about the no-candy-challenge. Somehow I've had 3 big bags of good candy sitting in my house for over a week - I look at them and think "I don't want stale candy wrapped in plastic." So far so good. Plus, there's no way that Halloween candy is going to get me back to 2:05! |

Veteran 312 St. Paul | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! I did a 5.3 mi treadmill run at lunch today. I'm not feeling totally recovered from the bug that I had the last few days, so it was a challenge. I made it, though. After Friday, I'll be deer hunting for 5 days, so I won't be getting any workout in until next Thursday. So I'm trying to hit it hard, while I can. Great job to all of you that are resisting the Halloween candy! You're stronger than I. I already had a peanut butter cup (my favorite) and a Twix bar (the small kind) |
