Regular 980 Caerphilly, Wales, uk. | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors, Part 2! CLOSED Go Felicia, Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!PS Can I get taken off the disabled list, lower back seems ok now, I've been running for 5 days on the trot now with no pain there. Although, I am feeling a new niggle, in my left foot now, honestly, I feel like my bones and joints are falling apart. I don't feel I am kicking the out of training either. Nice and slow runs, but still getting niggles. What I need to work out now is which niggles are normal, and are therefore allowable to run on. And those that are warning signs to stop running, humph. |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors, Part 2! CLOSED rrrunner - 2013-02-07 4:15 PM So, based on the weather forecast, I may be looking at a 4 hour drainer ride this weekend I want to get some benefit out of the ride without burning up my legs too quickly doing something like Sufferfest. Yanti, I know you have a focus for each hour on a long drainer ride. Anyone have suggestions for how I should spend those hours? The Fink plan calls for Z2 with 5 min @ Z4 at the 3.5 hour mark. Thoughts? I have nothing earth shattering to offer here. For a trainer ride that long I'd consider finding two movies that add up to the right amount of time. Redbox or something you've already seen. Preferably something that allows you to miss a good bit of the dialog or has subtitles. For shorter (2 hours or less), I often end up with Food Network of HGTV because of the whole not needing to hear it thing. You know, show items being measured into stand mixer, show mixer mixing, show mixing bowl being emptied into baking pan, show finished product being removed from oven, eating... Similar situation for Yard Crashers, Property Brothers, etc. Besides, time lapsed home improvements rock! If you end up watching TV with commercials, you can always play the commercials game. During commercials increase cadence or do a standing climb or go up two gears or... |

Yeah, Felicia, ROCK IT!!! GOOOOOOO!!!! Thought I was going to get added to the IR list after getting whacked in the ankle with a puck at practice last night (hurt SOO bad when it happened) but so far normal activity isn't bothering it much and it doesn't look bad at all, just hurts a little depending how I move it. We'll see how it tolerates TKD and running today and tomorrow! But for now, keep me off that list! I'm fine with being on the 'on deck list' only! |

I actually don't know what position I will be playing or anything. Should be an adventure. Oh and I have to drive across the state to play but the bonus is I get to spend some time with my cousins! |

Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors, Part 2! CLOSED I did an 8minute test on Trainerroad tonight (last one was 3 months ago). My FTP went from 195 to 220. I reckon that is pretty good. I guess being off running is at least helping my swim and bike . Day 4 of walking streak; upped by 5 minutes today. |

I'm beginning to feel like myself again, and hopefully will be back on track again tomorrow. In fact, I am thinking that tomorrow would be a good day for a playground workout....after the morning croc wrestling, of course. I'll miss this angry little guy, but I am happy for him; he will be living happily ever after in San Diego Zoo with his 3 (!) new girlfriends--hopefully making baby dwarf crocs in the future. |

Veteran 2441 Western Australia | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors, Part 2! CLOSED Hi Manatees I have a problem, not a big one but I need some help. When I ride for more than about 45 minutes the balls of my feet feel like they are on fire and the three smallest toes on each foot go numb. It doesn't seem to matter if i wear socks or not. Any ideas? |
