Guys, the mystery of my disappearing lunch the other day has been solved.

Apparently I rushed in to work that day and threw my (frozen) lunch down on my desk and ran off to put out a fire - my boss was being "thoughtful" and put it in the mini-fridge's freezer for me. And forgot to tell me. He told me today when he saw my lunch on my desk again. I actually like to let it thaw out in the morning for less microwave time before noms.

Glad I am not losing my mind!

Swim waves for B2B have just been announced.  This shiite's getting real, now.  Surprised

Two months out and I've got butterflies in the stomach right now.

Nice of your boss, but doesn't he realize that when food is frozen it takes THAT much longer to defrost and then heat up to eating temperature??

Yeah, but it's not a "real" one, so it doesn't count... it's one of the easy 140.6 races.

True, but our little 140.6 has the biggest guns of any 140.6 around!

It's for the half only. The full is a mass start. `BANG! RUN! SWIM!'

The wife has made a couple comments about the 10 lbs I put on and maybe I should get back into training.  So I started up a Half Mary plan.  BUT, first day of the plan she asked me to skip and go to a bar to get drinks and pizza with a friend.

Tonight she wants me to skip to go to a burger bar with her cousin.

Tomorrow wants to go to a pizza party at another friends.

I kind of got upset at how she is undermining me and her response is I could order something healthy.

But seriously, how to you go to a gourmet burger joint and not get a burger?  That's like going to the Moonlight Bunny Ranch and not getting... well, whatever it is that they do there.  I wouldn't know.

I noticed that after my little freak-out.   800+ starting at once.... that's gonna be my biggest swim start, yet.

1197 competitors in the Half.  1197 is the hull number of my ship from my Navy days.  I like when numbers with meaning to me crop up unexpectedly in my life.  It makes me wonder if the universe is trying to tell me something.

Kinda rough! Maybe just the way the week is shaking out, though, and not necessarily related?
Can you run in the morning or lunch?

Oh and I agree, you are most definitely obligated to get a burger at the burger joint! And fries and possibly and adult milkshake

You save your calories and don't eat much the rest of the day. I drink UCAN to substitute food. It gives me energy and I don't fee like crap. Mind you, I still eat 5 times a day, but just small amounts. Then I drink UCAN before a workout so I have energy and don't get all light headed and dizzy.

The days I drink alcohol I eat very little food. I get to drink or eat, but not both. Ha!

If I had a triathlon coach tell me to save calories by drinking a food substitute to give me 'energy' I would fire them.

I'm not his coach. I'm a normal person on the side. I eat plenty of calories but when I try to reduce calories to lose weight, I get lighted and dizzy and I have no energy to workout. So, I drink UCAN before a workout (as it was intended) to fuel me through the workout. Doing this helped me lose 12 lbs.

Otherwise, you do realize I was also half-joking around as well... correct? I know KIDO. We have met. Sometimes you can't take things said TOO seriously. And yes, even a triathlon coach, I joke around.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
