Rogillio -

Evidently lost it on the swim.

Thanks, Jen.

Nice to see you, Mike. Hope all is well.

Go Chris!!!

Wish that were true.  Absolutlely f***ing shattered.  Severe vertigo on the swim at the turn around, quite literally thought I was goin to drown, I couldn't keep my head above water, i couldn't tell which way was up and which was down.  Honestly one of the scariest moments of my life. Tried to continue 3 times, trying to keep doggy paddling, breast stroke, whatever I could do, I had 2 hours to go 1 mile.  vertigo kept coming back. When I started vomiting, and realized I probably couldn't keep a bike upright even if I made it is when I realized my day was over 1 f**** ing half hour in.  Couldn't stand up when they got me to shore.  At least I got to throwup as part of my IM experience... in the water, on the boat, on shore, in the ambulance, in med tent, and on the car ride home.  Spent the last 5 hours trying to drink a bottle of water and eat 20 pringles.

Followed by one of the most humiliating moment, sitting in a wheelchair outside med as families walked by in my jammers trying not to throw up the Sprite and pretzels.  Oh yeah, the wheelchair ride to my car, sitting by the finish chute was f(((ing brilliant.  really, it was more than i could take.

I'll be offline for a while, it's all going to be a bit too much.  If I keep writing this is going to get brutal, as I feel quite f***ing pathetic at the moment

Congrats to the BT finishers

Chris

Brutal.  Tough to even read about let alone experience.  That ever happen to you before in training (vertigo)?

Doing the math shows that she should make the bike cutoff by about a half hour.

Your still a champian in my book brother!  Your experience is not unique.  I DNF's my first HIM....almost exactly as you discribed it!  I mean to a T.  Impossible to swim when you're hurling....you can't breath.  Drowning is a real possibilty when you are hurling.

You did what you had to do.  I know you won't believe this now, but no one thinks less of you....and your family is still proud of you for even making to the starting line.

~Mike

Csomor has less than three miles to go

RACETIME: 09:01

* MICHELLIE JONES (#45) now trails Csomor by 9:41 with about three miles to go.

WE should see the winner in the next 11 minutes.

Sorry to hear about your experience, Chris. My girlfriend has vertigo that hits her on the bike whenever it gets hot. I couldn't imagine going through that in the water. On a lighter note, you should get a medal for most consecutive times puking.. could be an IM record!!
