Christine Update

I spoke with Susan (Toms sister)this morning and really no change.  They did another ct scan this morning and her implant should be removed today.  Its infinately easier to get things done in a hospital on a monday than on a sunday.  Thanks to everyone for trying to help.  Tom and his family appreicate it more than I can say.  I will post updates in my blog when I hear things.  I can't continue to post in 3 different places so disseminate info as you all see fit.  I may hand off my cell phone to my nurse/OM Barb when I am in clinic.  She knows  Christine, Tom and the kids and the situation and will help me coordinate thru the day

Sue posted in today's blog that it is too hard for her to keep up with multiple threads and her blog with updates. She would like everyone who wants updates from her to visit her blog at]

The pressure in Christine's brain went up and her vital signs are not looking good. Christine is in a very bad way.

Update from Sue:

"We are going to lose her. They are talking hours."

What?!  Oh my gosh, I definitely never thought I would hear this news.   I'mthinking about her and her family right now. 

Oh my GOD!!    I am speechless and I am getting teary eyed thinking of her family.   thanks  to the BT family there, supporting her family...   It is now whey they need us the most...

Update from sue as of 12:10

Things are quite desparate.  I think we are going to loose her.  All we can do is pray.  Reviewed all teh CTs with the neurosurgeon and most likely this was a hemangioma that had been sitting there, perhaps her whole life, like a time bomb waiting to go off and there really was not anything that could have been done at any point in time.  Althought they thought intially it was a tumor with as rapid as this thing expanded it is most likely the hemangioma

truely heartbreaking.   not sure what else i can say that hasn't already been said.

Yes, opus. please continue to hang onto hope. Please do not stop praying.  God does miracles everyday, there is not reason to believe he can't do one for us.  

Latest news is they are still doing tests on her. The doctors are doing all they can.

I'm at a loss for words. 

Have met her and her family several times, at various races in and around Tampa.  One of the nicest BTers I've ever met, and that's saying a lot.

My thoughts and prayers are with Christine and her family. 

I can't believe this is happening. I feel so helpless - I can only hope the doctors do everything they can, and there is some sort of miracle out there for her.
