Subject: RE: Skinny Jeans for DudesI think skinny jeans look cool on the right person. I wouldn’t wear them, but I’m a 40-year old straight guy with athletic quads. If I was a 26-year old barista/web designer, I’d wear them proudly, along with my ironic t-shirt and straw fedora.
Most guys make the mistake of wearing their clothes too big because they don’t want to look fat, but wearing poorly fitting clothes makes you look shapeless and dumpy.
Clothes that are the right size and well-tailored will accent the parts of you that look good while hiding or drawing attention away from the other places.
I don’t wear pleated pants anymore, but on the right person, and well-tailored, they can look ok. I think they’re a little ‘80’s, like big shoulder pads and big lapels. If you are, or work with people who care about stuff like that, flat fronts are better.
Tasseled loafers: unless your name is on the door of the office building where you work, I wouldn’t wear them. Lace ups are better.
