Lucy- no other than I have a figurine of her actually holding a jumprope on my desk.   My son says we have the same personality, grumpy, loud and mean when I want to be.   That can't be a good thing.

Dang. I was really confused there for a moment. I was thinking Bill Buckley (whose speech at USF I thoroughly enjoyed back in the college days). I love that man's idiom.

My last name is Livingston (last 4 letters pronounced "stun")...which my friends changed to Livingstone (pronouncing the stone) which they then decided was way too long to say and just shortened it to Stone...I only have a few friends that call me this but I use is as my internet name.

Fleeb - Same concept as Haagen-Dazs ice cream.  Random letters thrown together which sound just enough like a real word to make people think it means something.

Well, it certainly has Farfegnugen!

Opus is my brand of bike. I had just gotten it, and I couldn't think of anything else (serious imagination deficit). Also, I didn't think I'd hang around very long, and even if I did, I wouldn't post much.

For my overactive imagination, when I saw Opus, I immediately thought of the penguin from the Bloom County cartoon strip in the 80's an 90's.......  But i'm crazy that way...

Not to imply that you are or resemble or swim or whatever like a penguin.....

i started using the handle tyrant when i became a manager. i quickly was known as the hard or tough manager. i was always on peoples tails if they got out of line (granted i work with college and HS employees). i would have been nick-named bulldog by my peers but they knew that i had served in the army, so they went even better; tyrant. a slight brand identity note, due to the power of such a name, it creates a slight juxapostion to always have it in the lower case.

this thred is fun!

Darn!  I want a cool name!  I guess I didn't give mine much thought because I thought I was just logging in to get a little information initially and never thought it would blossom into a full-fledged addiction (to BT and to Tri).

(Mine is my first name and the first two letters of my last name.  Boring!)

Long story short. I work in a crime lab. I worked a scene where we thought the victim had Madcow's disease. I freaked, my friends made fun of me and the name stuck

This is a fun thread!

Mine is pretty boring but I have several reasons for picking it

1) My choice of exercise before triathlons was running so itri2 was to say besides running I also tri.

2) I had two years of trialthons under my belt when I joined BT.

Hmm, reading this thread has got me to think of a few I might want to change to.

LOL...speak for yourself brother!!

Mine is a nickname to separate me from my Dad who has the same name. It was infuriating growing up and having my Mom yell and not knowing if it was my fault this time or what!!

The "MaxPower" in my email address came from Homer Simson.

"Max Power...nice name!"
"Thanks, I got it off a hair dryer."
