mr2tony - 2013-03-13 8:16 AM I wouldn't mind seeing Gonzaga or Louisville win it all, just to mix it up. I just hope my hometown Creighton Bluejays get a decent seed and win two games. If they win only one I'll be disappointed unless the second round game is against a 1 or 2 seed, anymore than two wins and I'll be ecstatic.

X2...GO JAYS!

JAYS! DOUGIE! LEGEND! DANCING GRANDMA! MAGNUM OPUS! MVCuLater!

Blah blah blah, etc., etc., GO JAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you guys all better hope you don't meet BSU's powerhouse again.

I actually think YOU should hope that the teams don't meet again.

Why, because now it's on a neutral court instead of at Creighton?

The Dougie scored 41 points against my team a few weeks ago. 41 POINTS!
Errrbody should be askeered.

Troof. And Wichita is a solid defensive team. Creighton has been playing well since their mid-season slump. In the MVC conference championship game they proved they're not a one-man show, too. I hope they can keep it rolling.

Since we have so many Jays fans in this thread, you might like this ESPN story from Liz Merril about Josh Jones and his heart condition, what he means to the team, etc. The only thing it's missing is a recap of senior day (aka, the game where McDermott  lit up WSU for 41 pts) and how Josh got to  suit up for the game. Crowd went nuts when he was introduced. People love him. Give it a read if you have time and haven't read it yet. It's really good.

Liz! Good UNO grad, she. Not a lot of us around the big-time news agencies, so it's good to see her doing so well.

And yes Josh Jones' story is pretty heartbreaking yet uplifting. I hope he graduates and does well in life. He's a heck of a ballplayer, and a great guy from what I've heard. He's missed off the bench, that's for sure.

Remember that Creighton team that got trounced by St. Marys from the WCC a few weeks ago? That same St. Marys that Gonzaga stomped not once or twice, but 3 times this year?? We now can resume our regular programming.......;-)

As an aside, Bill Walton is officialy the worst announcer in any sport... period. I drank more than i needed to tonight in order to drown out his yammering.

after a 22-point thrashing from Georgetown in our last regular season game, Syracuse has won 3 in a row in the Big East tournament, just last night avenging the loss to Georgetown.

Tonight it's Louisville.

This is really a down year for the Cuse, but in this wacky year, anything could happen.

I take it you don't bleed orange.     You've got to admit, that was a heck of a game last night...OFFICIALLY closing that Big East rivalry the right way!

Unfortunately, I was flying during the game and couldn't watch . Plus, at my connection, the bar had Dr. Phil on and not the game!!!

So... everyone happy with their seeds?

My team (Wichita State) playing against Pittsburgh, then on to be the first to off a #1 seed (Gonzaga). At least that's what my bracket says

Three teams from the Big 5 are in! I'd be surprised if two games are won overall between them, but I'm rooting for the home team(s)

Plus I was born in Indiana and both my parents are from Kentucky, so I'm good with IU, Louisville, or (Western) Kentucky

I was hoping Creighton would get a 6-seed instead of a 7-seed but it didn't happen. Off to Philly to play Cincinatti then, if they win, to play the Dookies. I would like to see then off Coach K and his crew.

Go TIGERS GO

Memphis has a good seed to actually win their first round or is it second round game.  We've played well toward the end of the season much better than when we started the season.

In my bracket I have us beating the play in game winner MTSU and upsetting Michigan State.  If we bring our A game it's possible but getting to the sweet sixteen is kind of dreamer fanboy stuff.

Good luck to all your teams except the ones playing in the Mid West bracket...
