Whatcha'll doing this weekend?

10km run race Saturday morning (why the heck I signed up for this, I still don't know)

Sunday we'll be returning the bike box to the Crownys, grabbing some lunch, and then for some reason Tony wants to be home in time to watch the Cowboys game on Sunday night.  I'll watch episodes of Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy on Netflix instead.

Have a great weekend TANners!

Nice little jog on Saturday, long ride sunday morning, waiting for the Goggs to get there and maybe a little clothes shopping thrown in one of the two days for good measure.

Oh, and planting some more tulip bulbs.

A long ride, you say?   I'm thinking of taking my first foray into the world of the Suffer Fest videos... but I'm just a little skurred

Woot - see you on Sunday!!

Driving to Naples tonight and I am doing a wet lab tomorrow....AKA cadaver lab to look at some new plates and screws......I figure I don't have to sugar coat this activity for TAN

Cool deal.

Hey, here's a question for ya; if I get the plate and screws removed from my shoulder can I keep them?

It kind of depends on the facilities rules.  Techinally its an OSHA violation.  We have to send them to pathology and then it has to be autoclaved because they would not want your own body fluids giving you any dread diseases.  In place I worked I had to send it to the path lab then they clean it then give it to me to give to the pt if they wanted it because the "hospital" was not allowed to give it to the pt.  but somehow I could.  Its also an OSHA violation to give someone their cast or to re-use DME.  That said if you have it removed you can probably get it back.  I had a pt make a necklace out of her hardwrae.......which I persoanlly thought was a bit odd but I have also had pts do some pretty bizzare stuff with their arthroscopy pictures

I am doing some upper extremity stuff so I will get a scapula and an arm probably.

Doesn't Kansas have all the wind turbines that we have in Iowa?  Ours is by Mid-American Energy and they are putting up new ones everyday.  Just curious if Kansas is as windy as I remember that the whole thing isn't covered with them.

We do but in limited quantities. Lots of political stuff with other energy sources.

For some reason I thought you (Kansas) had a lot of "wind farms" setup by originally by the federal government.

I spoiled my ladies and bought them mall stuff. I even pretended to be interested. Except for Bath and Body works, NFW.

I bought myself 2 new spatulas and a gravy separator. Pretty sweet.

My goodness Dallas sucks. New Orleans has 400 yards at the half. I've never seen a game where the other team absolutely gouges the other team for chunks of yards at a time. NO offense, no defense. They should just end the game at the half before NO puts up 60.

I have a good friend that is a Cowboys fan and he quit watching the game and he usually watched every second of every game.  I never saw the game but heard it was terrible at best.

It's in the back of my mind. No real issues, but would prefer not to have foreign objects holding me together if I don't have to. I realize it would be another surgery and another recovery so that weighs heavily in the decision making.

If its not bothering you leave it alone. The plate is a temporary holding device until the bone heals but when you have it removed then it takes a long time for all the screw holes to fill in plus its another surgery and there are lions and tigers and bears under the clavicle.  It will do you no harm to leave it there so unless the plate is painful I'd suggest leavingit alone

Good Morning TAN!

I would say "Happy Monday", but we all know that those two words should never really be in a sentence together.

With it being Veterans Day here in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada, I just spent a few minutes looking at our pictures from going to Normandy in 2012.  What a humbling, sobering and awe inspiring experience that was.

Happyyy Monday and special thanks to veterans!

I am going to a college basketball game that tips off at MIDNIGHT tonight (by the way, it's my team that made it the FINAL FOUR last season - woot)! Just as I was wondering how I'm going to stay awake I read a tweet that said they are handing out free Rockstar energy drinks to everyone at the door. HAHA!!

BRILLIANT.

so they must be part of ESPN's 24 hours of basketball - there are some decent matchups considering it's still only November and there are games NONSTOP ALL DAY.  mr meh and i might be camping out at BWW's to catch a whole bunch of the primetime games.  WHEE!

Yup yup! I believe we are also hanging our Final Four banner in the arena tonight. I will cry, that is almost a given.

We are thinking about hitting up BWW before the game - haven't been there in years!
