With a week off I'll take these totals this month.

December's totals:
Bike:9h 37m 15s  - 156.83 Mi
Run:16h 30m 44s  - 109.55 Mi
Swim:1h 23m 39s  - 4350 M
Strength:2h 15m

2010 totals
Bike:198h 30m 57s  - 3403.2 Mi
Run:153h 43m 06s  - 943.56 Mi
Swim:48h 41m 46s  - 145863.8 M
Strength:20h 30m

One thing I am going to figure out in the next day or so is what my avg paces were this year vs. last year.

For the run I ran about 50 more miles last year but did 17 more hours running last year.

Swimming I am pretty close to distance, about 2k more this year but did it in 3 hours less that I did my workouts in last year.

Oh and everyone else, don't compare your numbers to suzy or Linda (terps), they're a bit crazy ; )

Yowza! Those are some amazing numbers.  Congrats to all of you.

These are mine.

December's totals:
Run:8h 51m 35s  - 98.12 Mi

2010 totals
Bike:24h 01m 54s  - 394.8 Mi
Run:65h 16m 39s  - 489.61 Mi *
Swim:3h 28m 08s  - 13488.5 Yd

* My 2010 run numbers are actually more.  I logged in 89.53 on sparkpeople before joining here and I also didn't log in anything from Jan-Mar so I'm guessing I'm closer to the 700 mi mark.  It's nothing like some of you have done but I'm pretty stoked considering my 2009 numbers consisted of running to the bathroom or after the kids.

fattyfatfat - 2010-12-31 3:23 PM so on my ride today i'm sporting a 310 care of trevor.  (long story, thanks again man).  i'm wearing it under two long sleeve shirts and then my gloves go past my wrist, so i can't see the thing, nor do i want to at this point.  so off i go.  first mile,  it vibrates.  hmmm, i didn't think i was going this fast.  cool though.  second mile same thing and i just kinda stop thinking about it.  actually start wondering why on earth someone want this thing to vibrate all the freaking time.  so i get down to  mile 6, look at the watch and damn, it hit me.  i should have paid more attention at mile one.  this thing is on km's not miles.  i still suck!   and i'm not sure how on earth i didn't pick that up at the first km.

ha!

ROFL!

Does it play O Canada after every mile?

While wearing it does it make you want to end every sentence with eh?

etc, insert the rest of the Canadian jokes here...

Been thinking a bit about Suzy's questions...

- For 2011, I think I really need to focus on nutrition.  More acturately food and what I'm consuming. I'm not consistent here.

- No racing for me this weekend.  No races planned until late Feb.

- Am I happy with my training?  I'm happy with my running (been on a swim/bike break since Sept) but am planning on rebooting myself starting 1/4 including 2 swims and 2 bikes per week until starting my HIM plan in April.

Resolutions/Goals for 2011?
I've got lots of mini physical goals; sub 25min 5k, sub 2 hr 1/2 mary, sub 6 hr HIM (I really want to crush this), achieve weight goal by HIM. Then I have some more ambiguous resolutions such as live simpler and be happy.

Would like to see the bike miles higher for the year, but I am so bad about keeping up cycling when I'm not training for a race (swimming, too, although I do enjoy the cross-training/recovery aspect). Super psyched about my 200-mile run month, which I know I won't see again for a long time. Bring on IM CDA training!!!

Not very impressive.   I guess going AWOL during the summer this year didn't help my volume very much.

Kyla and Linda, those are some pretty impressive numbers you two put up.

Happy New Year MG.

Sadly, I have no numbers to report.

As far as New Year's resolutions, I love them but haven't had a chance to think about them for 2011. Guess I better get on the ball there. Anyway, I had a bunch this year and I met some and not other's. One of them was to cook a really good beef stew. I even asked my mom for Julia's Childs French Cooking cookbook last year for Christmas. I've made plenty of stews but they always lacked a full bodied flavor. So the entire year goes by and no time to try it out until tonight. I started this morning by making homemade beef stock then prep the stew for the oven and finish with the buttered mushrooms and braised onions. I'm happy to report it was freaking awesome. Goal accomplished! :-)

half a bottle of cabernet into the stew and the other half into the cook is the right way to start...

As with Linda no real monthly stats to report. did some runs and biking and a couple of swims but didn't post them all. Very busy with family over the month. Had a great Christmas season. Twisted my back a bit playing road hockey on Christmas day. Much better now. Stayed at home last night watched Canada lose to Sweden. (not happy about the way our boys up here played). Had a great barbecued steak etc for supper and then just spent the rest of the evening with my wife.

Now its time to get all the decorations down and back to normal whatever that might be
