And I just want someone who will wear a suit with me to the beach and clean up into a dress suit for dinner!!!

I didn't say HE has to stilt. He just has to, you know, put up with the me doing wacky stuff like stilting. And dressing as a carrot. And being a zombie prom queen at Halloween. You know, the usual stuff.

Oh, and I'll never, ever, ever ask him to wear a suit to dinner.

Seems easy enough, what's the catch? Undecided

Exactly!  That's too simple.  Maybe by "suit" to the beach, she wants a Borat style suit or a Euro bananna hammock?  Still.. I am not seeing the catch either.

I still think there needs to be a marking at races for "single".  then I know who to talk to.  My mom always gives me a hard time about doing triathlons, saying thats why I'm not married.  So she came to me to a triathlon last year, first time in forever. I'm talking to a bunch of dudes in transition (she's outside like a good spectator). When I come out, she says, "wow! there are lots of guys! and you talk to them!"  Yes mom, and I saw within the first 10 seconds they had rings on their fingers. Yell  Alas, I've had to break up with several b/c they said I loved my bike and horse more than them.

There's an easy solution for that. Bring your own Sharpie. I've been at races where my friends have done it - both for writing "single" on someone's leg and for writing DTFU or Eee Awww!

Maybe we can then have a single male and female division! Does being faster give you better chances?!

At Ironman Wisconsin one year a girl was wearing a shirt with a bib attached that had the little pulltabs on it. The bib said `Irongirl looking for an Ironman.' and the pulltabs had her phone number on it. I know it was tongue-in-cheeky but it was still a good way to meet people.

I'm familiar with DTF and HTFU, but not DTFU.  Is it some combination of those two?  Because that sounds awesome.

When it comes to dating, very few times has "being faster" ever worked out in the positive!

DTFU is the Donkai Nation version of HTFU - Donkey The F*** Up. (If you're not familiar with the Donkai Nation, you haven't been spending enough time around Wisconsin BT folk.

Not a tri but they do an annual "Skirt Chaser" 5k here in which you sign up as single or or not and wear a corresponding shirt.  Huge party afterwards and super easy to identify and meetsingle  people.

Got it.  I still would be interested in a DTF angle - if I were single.

Yeah, I would have gotten myself slapped then by assuming DTFU was something completely different.

I like that idea I would probably need lots of pull tabs since I'm out there so long!
