OK I am in, but this is pathetic.  SEEERIOUSLY pathetic.

I am on a mission to finish the year with 3-100 mile months running in a row.  Small to some of you, huge to me.  It takes a slow donkey like me a long time to run 100 miles.

That being said, I'll do 7500 yards.

...

Since the 31st of Dec is on a Sunday I propose that this is started on Monday Dec 4th so we would have 4 full weeks. It is tough to go back and cull out a partial week of results so the 1st-3rd would not count.

...

The month to date feature of the BT logs makes it easy to track time and/or distance for the whole month. For the score-keepers, if you switch your preferences from yards to meters, or vice versa, you can view the current month's totals in whichever units that person has commited to. Just remember to switch your preferences back when you're done.

(Just suggesting an alternative here. Use the system that works best for you. )

That being said, I'll do 7500 yards.

That would be 550% more than the distance swam in Nov.  Welcome aboard mate.

I am new to this site, but I would like to join in the challenge. I am currently training for the Myrtle Beach Marathon in February 2007, so I am spending most of my training running at the moment. But I still swim a couple times a week. I can commit to 12,000 yards in December. I don't care which team, but the Carolina team would be nice.

Thanks!
Carol

Midwest Blizzards, add me for 20,000 yards.

That'll get me to 176,000+ yards (100 miles) for the year.

I think I am going to regret this.

But I do need the challenge.

Ohio is not really "midwest" but I didn't see any teams that fit Ohio.

Put me on whatever team that Ohio fits into, and I am in for 11,000 yards.

ok put me down for 12 hours - on holiday 2 of the weeks but that should give me the motivation to keep things ticking over whilst I'm away.

I'm willing to captian the Midwest team again.  I'm in for 13,500 yds.  It would be more but my pool is closed the last week of the month.  Send me a list of the midwest teammates when you get it finalized.

I wanna be on Cat's side!

Aaw - guess we better head off to become honourary canadians then!

If they'll have us! A Brit team might be a bit thin on the ground!!! Me and Pulch!

I'd love to be Canadian for a month - if they'll have me. Put me down for 20,000m

I'm going to regret the pressure this will cause me.  I'm in for the fun of it but hate putting down a number on paper.  I guess I'll go for 13,000 which should be my biggest month ever.  I'll have to check to make sure.

edited to add:  midwest blizzards, of course.

I am sorry for sandbagging it here in WI - that said maybe I should shoot for 99000 yds this month. That would be 550%, a reasonable goal that would require 33 hours of consistent swimming so 1 hour and 11 mins per day for 28 days and over 3500 yds each time. No sweat!!!

So if its okay with you I think I am going to stick with my original goal - I do not want to hurt the Midwest Team. LOL!!

Looking at last years teams, I probably belong to the Southwest - haven't seen anyone else or a thread for that so if there is not a SW team how about the Midwest blizzard for me - besides it is snowing right now.

My goal - 400 minutes.  I need the consitency of getting to the pool and a schedule that works.
