Subject: RE: Biggest Lies EverTriAya - 2010-08-19 1:06 PM "Bless your heart"
It took me awhile in the South before I figured out what this meant. "Bless your heart" isn't really a lie, more of a way to get out of telling a lie or a little bit of sugar-coated deep-fried passive-agressiveness, or the limit of sarcasm for a "well-mannered lady". It's kind of like a southern "aloha", only not. Of course, it leads to the over-use of hyphenated words as a side-effect. ![](https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/images/emoticons/smile.gif) |
