Or too many reservations already? Not yet. Well he asked if he could take me to some show Sunday night, so that's a possibility. He likes you |

Elite 3091 Spokane, WA | Subject: RE: Triathlon Dating Thread Ver 2.0 I didn't play in ver 1.0, but did read a bit of it. I'm single, not really looking but would like another relationship someday. Like many said in the "Living Alone" thread, I'm enjoying some me time. I'm doing IMC this year and it's been nice to be able to train whenever I want, and it's just going to get more insane as the build continues. |

Expert 3145 Scottsdale, AZ | Subject: RE: Triathlon Dating Thread Ver 2.0 I've never dated another endurance athlete, ever. I always thought it would be cool to find someone that could actually hang and do the same things from time to time. Well, a friend introduced me to one and Sunday she's tagging along on my long run. Have to say so far it's pretty effing awesome. I refuse to ride with her though as she'll drop me in a heartbeat. haha |

Went on the run with the guy after I met him at a running store. I couldn't keep up because he was way more of a serious runner (I was less into endurance sports then). And in the middle of the run date, he farted. And then the discovery that he was still very much living with his girlfriend put the full kiss of death on it. So remember, don't cheat and don't toot on the first date! |

I do have to say the level of understanding and support was awesome. For the most part. Bad thing is, one of them still lives here so we bump into each other at almost every run/tri club/triathlon/bar/match.com/etc. We have so many common interests it's just inevitable. Yes, Facebook, I know we have 56 friends in common. No, Match.om, I don't want to be matched with my ex even though you show we are 100% match |

Alpharetta, Georgia | Subject: RE: Triathlon Dating Thread Ver 2.0 I am very reluctantly admitting you guys might have been right. After an exhausting weekend of calls, texts, him getting upset a lot, I sent a text (yeah I'm a texter not a phone talker, whatevs) trying to explain that I need the guy I'm dating to understand that I get busy in life, don't live next to my cell phone, my plans change often, etc. He needs to be OK and flexible with that. What I really wanted to say was BACK THE F OFF and RELAX. Ugh. Where is the balance between completely apathetic and the clinger-type? I have yet to find it. |

I did manage to meet the friend of friends Friday night, either. But, he did message me after we passed like ships in the night (I left the potluck before he got there) to say he was sorry to have missed me and we have tentative Wednesday plans. I also have a coffee date with a different guy on Monday. And, yesterday I spent the afternoon hiking with a guy I'd met online a couple of months ago that I don't have instant chemistry with, but really enjoy spending time with (mutual, on both accounts). Oh, and I met a guy during my half marathon yesterday morning. Cute young thing (20-29 age group) that chatted me up and became my pace booty for the last 5 miles, even sticking with me when I told him he could go ahead if he wanted to. We crossed the line "flying like birdies" together. How totally cute is that? So, I'd still say it was a successful weekend. |

A girl I met at my friend Pam's house warming party and I dated for about a week, and then we just decided to be friends. She told me during our second date (about three weeks ago) that she got me something for all my hard work and training. Last night, a few weeks after I met her, she gave it to me. I opened it, and it's the $500 watch that I mentioned to my friend Pam at her housewarming party that I wanted, after Pam showed us the one she bought for a guy that she met the week before. So two girls buy $500 watches for guys they've known for just a couple weeks...seriously..."BACK THE F OFF AND RELAX" was the exact thing running through my mind. Did I mention Pam's not seeing her guy anymore either? UGH no crap! I seriously would have appreciated a couple of GU's and a "good luck on your next ride" just as much. What stage clinger is this?!? |
