All I can say is it's a good thing the month ends on Monday.  I'm going to need that extra day I think.  Was planning on being done next weekend - but some unscheduled down time threw a spanner into THAT.

I've got a bike and swim focus week this week so I should make it, hey Jorge, are we counting races as mileage for the challenge? If so you did not include a 10km run race that I did in the totals. Let me know, as I will modify to meet the challenge.

Cheers and good luck to everyone heading into the final week!!!

I'm done with the swim and it looks like I will reach my goals after all; I am determined to maintain consistency with my training over the next 8 days. I might do an easy 6km spin later tonight just to bring myself to the 200 Mi mark on the bike.

April's totals:
Bike:14h 46m 19s  - 196.29 Mi
Run:4h 9m 02s  - 24.84 Mi
Swim:5h 56m  - 15030.18 Yd

I've got 4 days left, and I'll make the run and swim, and miss by 50% on the bike.  Dammit.  But that's what the month gave me, so I tookit.

How is everyone coming on their plan?

swim for me is not going to happen.  Just need to re-establish a good habit/schedule

bike - I could do it but not sure I want to stretch/push that much - maybe

Run - Yes, but will fall short of my personal goal for the month.

April seems to be like that, but it will be a springboard into May.

Let's jump into a great season everyone.

It going to be close.

It looks like I will be over my swim goal by about 10%, but probably under my run goal by 10%. I have 2 more bike ridees scheduled including a long ride on the 30th which might just get me to my goal.

I am going to be very short on the bike, too much cold and nasty weather and un-expected weekend of work.  The run and swim should not be a problem.

HA! I'm closer than you, but mines NOT doable. I'll make it for the run and swim, but I'll be about 100 mi short on the bike. Now, if I would have gotten in more than 2 rides in during the first 2 weeks, I'd be doing OK.

I am no where close to my goals, got sick and then had a lot just going on in general. I would really be up for another one of these next month though. Thanks for running this amiine.

Ok here is the update. FYI - I only updated those with 50% or more of their goal as it takes quite of time going through the entire list. For those that are close to reach their goal and join the club, keep on pushing, we only have 5 more days to complete the challenge! For those who won’t make it, I hope you were able to push yourselves more than usual and get some benefits in your training. For those of you who had to juggle with life/health issues I hope things are well and you can get back on track soon!

Wow the weather must have sucked everywhere. Realistically only 2 or so have a chance to get in the bike miles.

Are we bringing this back for May?

So once again the weather is just plain aweful here in New England and we have rain today and it is supose to rain all weekend (temp 40s)... Unless it opens up, it seems I'll come short from my bike goal cuz there is no way I'll ride 180 miles on the trainer! At this point I don't care about the 700 Mi as much as I care about getting ready for FL 70.3... *sigh*

The weather here in W. Michigan has been stinko this week too, but I'm determined to get it done. I'm racing on Sunday (du) so tomorrow is just a light spin day. The weather looks great for Monday so I'm going to commute to get in those last 60 miles.....

Looking forward to doing this again in May!

Even though it's getting windy, the sun is shining here for the last weekend of the challenge.  My wife is going to visit her sister for a few days too, and I'm a long way behind on the bike.  It's a perfect oppertunity to do something really stupid.   However, I don't think my butt is tough enough yet to carry me for all the remaining miles in the time left.  I'll get out for some rides but I don't think I'm going to be able to catch up.  At least the run and swim distances were no problem.  Have a good weekend everyone!

Work blew-up this past week. I count on getting at least some decent sleep on my 24 hour shifts, but it didn't happen that way. So I'm going to come up short.

But it will still be my highest volume for the bike and run in a single month. Ever. So I guess that's good.

I'm going to come up a little short myself.

Was supposed to do a 55-mile ride Sunday, but spent the weekend (Wednesday-Sunday actually) volunteering for my rotary Club's fundraiser at a local festival. Worked there Saturday night until 11 after getting up at 4 am for that morning's triathlon. Had to be back at festival for 11 am Sunday, just couldn't do it all, and will come up that much short, at nearly 650 miles for the month. More to blame are the bad weather days we had earlier this month, as in previous year's I usually have the 700 wrapped up prior to festival weekend.

Good news is we raised nearly $8,000 on the portion of the fundraiser that I managed.

I too have come up a bit short.

I was over my swimming goal, but one short run and one medium distance bike ride short. No excuses here. The weather was been as good as you can hope for here in April. I had a plan to get it all in, but it was just too much. I am actually pleased with myself that I cancelled a couple of workouts and took the rest when I needed it, even if it meant coming up a bit short. All in all, it was a great month and my highest volume month ever. More importantly, I am seeing some really nice gains in fitness.

I'm done.

It's been quite a challenge considering the crappy, unstable shift work schedule and lack of quality daytime sleep I have to contend with. What I have acquired through this one though is better time management skills.

Many thanks for this challenge Jorge!
