Go Racers!

Still crazy at work but managed to eek out a run this morning.

Darren, oddly enough I came home from a work related trip to find an audit letter waiting for me as well. Oh the irony.

In the last two days I've learned that two of my co-workers (one being my partner) have filed for divorce. I don't mean this to be a downer but to say to those of us with a spouse/SO please take the time to appreciate them. I know I have a whole new focus on remembering that my needs aren't the only needs in the relationship with my amazing DH.

Looking forward to stalking Yanti with you all!

I truly cannot wait to offer support for Yanti tonight/tomorrow (EST).  I'll be up bright and early to help work a bike race and she will be on the forefront of my thoughts.

Usually my only task at bike races is to be a driver, either lead or follow, and on rare occasion help clean up.  Here's how the RD's and my text convo went, in a nutshell:

RD: Are you interested in driving for the bike race this weekend?  I need 2 drivers and someone for registration.

Me: Sure, I can drive.

RD: Be there by 6:30 am at the latest and you can do registration, too.

(gee, thanks!)  I'm dragging taking my sister along as an additional driver and since she doesn't know where to go or what to do, she gets to go along at the butt crack o'dawn with me!  Surely the RD will find other little tasks for her as well.  But hey, it's a paying gig so more time there means mo' money!  Mmmmm, piglets in Lycra...yup, I'll be thinking of Yanti, sending her visions of what I see!

Alright, I have amazing news for you chocolate loving pre/peri/post menapausal ladies. I bought a chocolate bar at the store last weekend because the label said "Maca Chocolate". I bought it with the intention of researching it. I haven't done that yet but the label also says "Directions: Take 1 bar per day, or as directed by a health care practitioner" OK! then it expalins that "Each deliciously decadent bar of Vega maca chocolate contains 4,000 mg of premium organic gelatinized maca, renowned for its ability to balance, invigorate and energize". Woohoo! SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry Jo)

This week sucked. Seriously, week from hell. Today was the worst. E had to go the ER this morning. She spilled my fresh cup of coffee on herself, which gave her 1st and 2nd degree burn on her toes. I feel so guilty.

Spent the afternoon at the hospital for me to get a bone scan. Definitely have a stress fracture. Figuring out on Tuesday how to treat it.
