GOOOOOOOO RACING MANATEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least this week the DL is not longer than the racing list. Heal up y'all!

Yeah, what she said!!!!!!

Race hard Judi, trout and Mrs Kingsley. Heal up malingerers I'm not holding out much hope for a quick time tomoz, still hacking up multi coloured things for my chest. Along with that ,the fact that I'm still in work until 1am, which will allow me a full 3 hours sleep b4 race day, and the fact that my neighbour of the adjoining property had their roof stripped and retiled over the past 2 days meant I have had roughly the same amount of sleep for the past 2 days and I have done zero training for it, I'd say, it's highly likely it's gonna hurt.Oh we'll, time to dig deep.
Forget the quick time, I don't know how you do it at all.

CANTSTOPRAFFING Goody

also at Dazzer's "trout" and "Mrs. Kingsley" too pffffft he's the future ex-Mr. Ardie!

GO ST. JUDE YOU ARE WELL ON YOUR WAY!!!

GO SALTY! I predict a significant improvement in your horsey-lookin' face during this race ...

GO DAZZERS!!! Multicolour loogies, that's straight from one of my RRs just keep hackin' em up, take it easy, and you'll get there.

GO ME!

Yeah, "racing" would be a gross exaggeration of what I plan to be doing ... I'm shuffling merrily along in a dark shirt that has Bali Quadrathon stuff on it in reflective letters (the race is at night).

HEAL UP YOU GIMPS! And Jojo the pro-licker too!

hmmmm....need some advice, Pod.

My lower right shin muscle is pretty sore. Not swollen or showing bruising or hot, but has been between sore and painful since Monday. I had Monday off running, then ran the prescribed 3 on Tuesday (really sore after that). Yesterday I did yoga and 45min on elliptical so I wouldn't be pounding on it.

I've not had this kind of soreness before, so I'm assuming from what I've read that it's shin splints: I've been running a lot on sidewalks, pushing stroller into the wind, and was already planning to get new shoes this weekend b/c mine are wearing down.

So my plan is to trainer and elliptical in HR zones for the next couple of days.  I don't need to totally rest, right?

If it is a stress fracture, you don't want to do anything that puts pressure on the bone.

I had my first class today.  I am embarrassed by my measurements and general lack of fitness in the assessment we had.  Guess it can only get better, right?

Way to go Judi!!!

Now you get to rest, recover, and enjoy the fact that you finished what you aimed to do, and you never have to do it ever, ever again.

No need to be embarrassed, so that is where you are at now, at least you are doing something about it, not sitting on the couch eating chips and wallowing in your own misery. Good on you for having the guts to get started.

Also good luck with the interview next week.

Near the end of one of my long runs, I noticed my left hip aching. There was a slight pop with each step. The hip was sore for 2 days after the run.
