OK, I've put 20+ running miles on my leg and over 2 1/2 hours of biking (mostly trail) since last Friday, and that pain seems to just be gone. Really being conscious of how it feels and not "gone" because I'm ignoring it. So I'm puzzled, though quite happy.

Ah, Jen, this made me smile...a big toothy sharky kind of smile.

I'm glad.  It cracked me up.

What a day so far...feel so good!

Went for a lunchtime swim.

Managed to buy a 20 swim pass for $99

It's an outdoor heated pool open October through April.

25m.

7 lanes.

All empty.

Just me.

2km. feels so good to be back and enjoying it.

Good day everyone, I hope that today finds you to be content, yet challenged. Never become complacent, but keep on stretching yourself in an effort to improve.

Weekly words of wisdom today come from the Dalai Lama. "I believe compassion to be one of the few things we can practice that will bring immediate and long-term happiness to our lives." I hope each of us has the opportunity to dial in a little compassion today.

Enjoy your weekend!

HOORAY YANTI!!!! CONGRATS!

Ok in other news SOMEBODY STOP ME!!

DH informs me he's been planning a way to get some extra cash so I can buy a TRI bike So in true MBC fashion I start looking and email my LBS......and I'm about to schedule a fit session so we can spend a few hours finding a bike that fits me. IN THE MEANTIME, I ride a size 47 Trek Madone so if I make the assumption that the xs Trek speed concept will fit.......HOLY CRAP they changed the 7.0 for 2014 and with it came a big price increase. Now my Madone was expensive, I'll admit it - but can I spend that much on an event specific bike? I DON'T KNOW I'm feeling a bit guilty and I haven't even done anything yet! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

In other news, TGIF - have a great weekend everyone - who's racing?!

And the curse of Amazon strikes again.

Hopefully my stuff will get here before Christmas so I can do some reading during my week off.

Well this one is even better - check the reviews!

I'm crying at my desk I'm laughing so hard and waiting for someone to ask me what's wrong.

Go for the fitting and see what will work best for you... then you can start shopping around for both new and used bikes, and there are a bunch of great deals out there right now on last year's models.

YAY FOR NEW BIKES!

I have read the reviews for both of those and thought I was going to break my cheeks from laughing so hard.

Off to read these ones now!

Yes, it's over a month late, but if anyone needs some reading to lull them to sleep: Rev3 Half Full Race Report.  Not sure what took me so long to write it, maybe simply that I wasn't very proud of my effort and therefore not hurrying to publish it?

Wow, just wow...what were the things made of, salmonella mixed with e coli with a dash of Campylobacter enteritis thrown in for good measure?  Oh, and sugar of course   Makes for comical review reading, though!

Near the end of one of my long runs, I noticed my left hip aching. There was a slight pop with each step. The hip was sore for 2 days after the run.
