Richardsdrr - 2013-04-15 2:24 AM One other thing, I dropped my parents off at the airport so they can fly back home to Turkey. On one of the advertisement billboards outside an airline was offering deals to the states. One of them was to Boston for 259 pound return. Must be an omen for Salty. So I'm expecting a 2 hr 59 min marathon

Your parents live in Turkey?

Didn't Froggy go there on hols last year?

Have been there 6 times in the lst 4 years, usually  for 2-3 weeks at a time. Have grown quite fond of the place (or parts of it), although off to Marseille/ Monaco/ Italy for a mini road trip in 10 days time!!!!

When I was 22, I fell in "love" with a Turkish Lady that I almost jumped ship (went AWOL) for.  This was in Antalya.  I love that place.

Over the years, we lost contact.  Then, about 3 or 4 years ago, she found me on Facebook!  We had a few conversations using "Google Translate" and her broken English.  The short of it is - she told me she "was having love for me too" back then.

How different life could have been... Good thing I came to my senses.  I was a smart mouth kid, with very little tact.  I'm sure it wouldn't have been long until I offended the wrong person and ended up in a Turkish Prison!

If I ever have the expendable income for that trip - I will be travelling to Antalya again in the future.  Would be really weird to see that place / girl after all these years.

Anyone know if Salty has posted on Twitter/FB or anything?  This is absolutely terrible and I'm really worried about her.

Yes, most definitely.  It gives me a sick feeling of fear and sadness in my stomach to think about those people.  Many prayers being sent.
