But for me, for now? It works perfectly. His son makes him the amazing person he is and I see so much love and goodness between the two of them. Avoiding the kid was not a possibility at ALL - I've been hanging around him since the 3rd time we went out I think. Dad is very transparent with his son, and wanted us to meet early.

The kid is old enough that he doesn't really want to hang out at home with Dad that much, he'd rather be playing a video game or Face Timing his friends - so he will eat dinner with us and then retire to the basement. We went on a road trip last weekend and he stayed in a hotel room with his buddies - it was pretty much the perfect scenario.

I've met and hung out (and drank a few beers) with BabyMama. They have a good relationship and are very respectful toward each other. Not to say there isn't drama from time to time, but it's super minimal. She is married with another child but lives really close by.

This is one thing I'm trying to get past (let's face it, at my age most women have a kid) but I just can't quite get myself to do yet.  I think it would take finding an awesome lady and then after the fact finding out she has a kid.  Knowing that up front it's just too easy to be all "op, nope, none of that.  adios".

Ditto... but replace lady with dude...

But I don't go that way

i'm actually nervous about handling that for running and stuff.  the non-key is too big for the little keypocket in my shorts, but if you leave it in the car someone could just leave with my car.

I have a combination keypad on the outside of the driver's door, so I just lock the key in my car (usually the trunk).

i'm looking at a new nissan, and the door unlocks just if the key is near it using a prox switch....same with the ignition....as long as the key is in the car, you can start it.

It's funny to update your resume every few years. When i was sending in for this job I was all `It looks way better with seven years at BBG on it than it did before.'

Hi, TAN.
So, they gave her a medal for finishing first woman in the marathon, even though she signed up and paid for the half?  Would that be a problem for the second place woman who paid for the full??  Just a question.  Congratulations on her super-speedy finish!!  I'm jealous.

According to the article she checked, while running, with the official who verified she was ok through the RD.  Furthermore, it goes on to state that she did pay the difference.

If I were second place and they offered me the win on a technicality I'd laugh and tell them no thanks.

At the bottom of an email I just got for an upcoming triathlon there is a "Fun Fact"

"Fun Fact: Did you know your foot and forearm are the same length?"

Yes, I am tempted to hold my foot up to my arm... anyone else?

I usually tie my key (leave the remote, which is separate, obviously, in the car so if someone breaks in, they still can't drive away - all they could do is lock it again remotely, which after breaking in seems unlikely... ahem) in my jammers before putting on my wetsuit for pond swims.

Works well, but I get lots of looks when after the swim I peel my suit down, reach down yonder and start futzing around (to get the key).

MANY looks of relief when I pull out a key and let the suit snap back up as I walk to the truck...

i actually DID know that fact and have checked it.  you have to be kind of loose on defining where your forearm begins and ends, but it's certainly true!

Haha, I've gotten a few of those looks from neighbors as I go fishing for the house key from the small pocket in my run shorts when I come back from a run

The keypad thing is nice on the car because I don't have to carry anything with me at all.  My girlfriend has a Kia with same type of key thing as the Nissan and it won't let her lock the car if she leaves the key in the car, so you have to take the key with you.  One of the things that always bugged me at a race was having to find a place to keep my car key while racing... now, I can leave the key locked safely in the car.

Am I the only one to notice she made the mistake because she was zoned out listening to music (BAN HEADPHONES!) and the biker should have been considered outside assistance? Um, DQ.

Just kidding. That's pretty awesome.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
