Yanti out of the water in about 1:25.

Not a great day, cold, and a bit choppy with a fairly strong current. No wind yet though.

Really choppy swim conditions people were Coke out of the water sea sick.

They pulled probably 50+ swimmers from the water.

Thankfully the wind has stayed down.

She is off the bike. I think her overall time is about 9:40. I have the head home now so I'm leaving her in Kingsleys hands.

Still holding steady with 30 km to go. Glad it is her and not me! Can't believe the amount of whining I did to my coach this morning about an overly hot 1:05 run......It was really hot, I've been a bit under the weather the latter part of this week after some third-world gut issues, and it ended up kind of a death march. But at least it wasn't a marathon, after a nearly 9-hour warmup!

She has less than 20k to go with with a bit over 3 hours to finish. She is doing around 6k an hour so it might be tight but she should be good as long as she can keep the cold at bay.

Poor Yanti--I know she has struggled with cold in the past. Can't imagine "cold"--isn't it your summer there? I was surprised at the full wetsuits on the swim, figured they were for jellyfish defense or something. At least it should be warmer running than biking.

Hope she makes it--sounds like it will be a bit down to the wire. I miscalculated the time by an hour--don't think I can stay up till the end--morning workout on the books for tomorrow and the way I felt today, think I could use some extra rest.

Kingsley says she has almost finished the 3rd of 4 laps so she would have a little over 10k to go. It's been taking her about 1:40 per lap.

Tracker is way behind because according to that she has only just finished her second lap. It's 8:40 here so it's coming up to 15 hours since start. If she has 17 hours to finish then she should be good.

Update: Kingsley says she is on her last lap. She has about 1:40 till the cut off time and it has been taking her a little longer than that to do a lap. Hopefully she can pick up the pace a little and get in before 10:50pm which is the 17 hour cut off.

Super busy weekend...not intentionally. Spent 15 hours with a friend's parade float because she left most of the construction and decoration to the last minute. Yesterday, the parade line-up started at 3:30...float was leaving her driveway at 4 and I still had kids to get ready to be on it. Really hectic! I had fun walking with the float and watching the kids (parade rules), but was pretty over it by 8pm. On the bright side, there should only be some adjustments and finishing details when she uses the float next year.

So, besides working on the float, we ran about 7mi on the mountain with the PureGrits yesterday morning. I wore them to the gym twice and around the house to break them in a bit, but I'm sending them back for the Cascadias. Even snugged in, the heels rubbed on both sides in the same spot so that I had blisters starting by about mile 5. I put on my Cascadia8s for the 3mi parade walk and my heels were happy. Not going to argue with them.

And we bought our Costa Rica tickets for March. woohoo!
