Hey Whizz - good move to pull up short when the body says so.  My goal is to live on to race another day!

I swam 1750 today (250 more than planned).  I should be 2000 yds a head of schedule.

I got in another 1650 this morning. That puts me at 5950 for the month. My goal is 12,000, so I think I'm on track now.

Way to go everyone! It must be one of those days...I went to swim this morn. and felt really good at my usual stopping point so I just kept swimming easy. Did 1800 yds!! That brings me up to 8700yds. I will make my challenge of 12,000yds next week but I'll keep on going so we get a really good total and maybe I'll be up there with all the speedy and long swimming people. You know who you are
Have a great day everyone.

Ugh!! I am hoping for good news when I see the doc, but I am guessing a dislocated shoulder rehab might put this tug boat on the rocks for the remainder of the month.  Hopefully I get some clearance to swim.  Ugly details in my blog

Jszat - that sucks.  Get better soon.

I, myself, was trying to see if these challenges had an IR or PUP (physically unable to perform) List???

I may still meet my goals as the shoulder is slowly getting better, but losing 10 days surely isn't helping.  Not to mention, I still can front crawl.

I am hungover. I took a nap and watched a movie instead of swimming today.

I will swim/lift tomorrow AM. I'm giving up for this weekend. *SIGH*

What flick did you watch????? Jaws is always a good hangover movie but this time of year...hmmmm... Wonderful LIfe or Polar Express seem to be on all the time.

No way! Plan on hitting the pool Wed and Friday...but that may be it for the month unless I can get in a swim on the 30/31. Heading to NC for the holiday this Sat. am.

OK swimmers.  Here is this weeks recap.  We have two swimmers who have met thier goals!  BbMoozer and Moreland007.  Job well done!  We still have several teammates not on pace to meet thier goal.  let's give them some encouragement.

I had a great week last week, logging 5000 meters.  My most ever in a week.  I'm at 9100 / 13000.  This challenge is really helping me.  I plan on crushing my goal.

Encouragement?  I've got a better idea.  Let's kick their a$$es!  Especially the injured ones, they should be easier to beat up, since they're hurt and all!

Seriously, jszat wiped out his shoulder.  Should you ask the other captains if there is something that can be done?  Can he go on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list or can someone else make up his yardage for him?  Schmize hurt his shoulder too but I don't think it's as bad and he's doing what he can by swimming different strokes that don't aggravate it too much.  I give him a lot of credit for that.  I have a feeling without this challenge he'd shut it down completely and that's probably what he should do, challenge or no.  But jszat should not be swimming for a couple of weeks at least.

How about any overagel yardage be donated to the PUPS?

I know how that goes with injury (achilles) so there's no point in anyone swimming if they really should be resting.

I know I'll get some more yardage in this week to apply to any shortages.
