I'm used to it ... on all counts

It's just another day in Cleveland sports.  The Browns are in prime time tonight, too, and I'll be at the game.... I'd say that you can safely bet on us losing.  I would also put money on the Buckeyes losing this weekend, hehe.

Have lived in Cleveland TWICE as an adult (or at least "of age," as adult isn't something often used to describe me).  The sports scene was one of the good/bad things there.  People sort of accepted cr@ppy teams (the bad) but you could always get great seats (well, the Browns were always tougher to get, but we would go to see the Indians play the Red Sox every year, pay some absurdly low price and park within a stone throw of the stadium) - that's the good.

Boston?  Well, if I hadn't grown up here, I'd wonder about these fans.  Folks take it a weeeeee too seriously, from my perspective.  I mean, it's not like *most* people here have actually played for one of the teams or have family that do, but you'd swear every game is a matter of life and death.  And that was true all during my childhood when we couldn't BUY a baseball or football championship (but hockey and basketball were pretty good then, so I dunno).

Miss Cleveland lots of times - such a great place to raise kids (the better half grew up there).

Ahem...

Sorry - just sorta got rambling there...  I don't function well without coffee or breakfast.  (ba-da-bump!  Long set up for that one)

I guess it depends upon what you're using LinkedIn for.

If you're using it as a serious resume kinda thing, then yeah, that's out of place.  If it's just being used as a "whatever" page for connecting with people, and you don't really care about it or what is there (like I do with mine), then I don't see a problem.

Also, if the guy is primarily a freelance writer, the resume aspect probably doesn't really apply at all.

LinkedIn will eventually devolve into some form of Facebook.  It's only a matter of time.  There was a time where Facebook was a handy way to coordinate between college students.  Then as the years went by it became myspace 2.0.

Absotively.

If ever there is a large TAN gathering, we all need to play the card game Cards Against Humanity.  It would be soooo fitting.

Yep.  Think of it as having slightly pre-stretched skin, so the tat won't deform as much as if you'd gotten it when you were 19 (and totally sober).  Laughing

If you want it, go and get it!

Most asked question since my race is "when are you getting your tattoo?"

no such thing as too old but the ribcage hurts like a bee-yotch.  it's a good spot though cause if you ever have regret as an even older person, it is ALWAYS covered at all times.  no tattoo shame!

Other option is bicep, so trying to decide which place to place it.

Best played after a few drinks and our "house rule" is "No judging!", if a combination of cards is really bad and just wrong, then it's the best one to play.

I've wanted a tattoo forever. Too a-skeered to pull the trigger. I've decided that if I'm an old woman and still don't have one, I'm going to get some in my 60s or 70s. Then if I don't love them there's not much time for regret - ha!

Boyfriend has two and wanted to get two more this summer but got talked down (not by me). I liked the premise, it was two words - one in his mothers handwriting and one in his fathers. The placement would not have been my first choice though... inside forearm just below the elbow bend - on each arm.

Tonight my son is having his birthday party. His actual birthday was the day I ran my IM and finished in 15:53 (nice, worked it in) so he is having some friends over and they want to go to the haunted corn maze. I hate that stuff, so I may be the creepy old guy sitting outside the maze waiting for them to finish!

A Kindle or Ipad is your best friend (I would say "book", but that's so old school).  IF, I ever have kids and have stuff I need to do like that?  Find a good bench and get comfortable and get some reading in?

You did an IM?  Well, barely.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
