I have this problem where I'm able to have more kids, so I'm having that fixed this afternoon. So say a quick prayer for my boys if you can. Can't wait to see how Janyne describes this in the weekly DL report Good luck! That was my main motivation for sharing! lol |

Hopefully this doesn't take you out of the game for too long. Good luck on the pregnancy. My wife is also 38 weeks pregnant and can't wait for the baby to come. The last few weeks are brutal. |

Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Oy, I'm working waaaay too hard for a Friday afternoon before a holiday. My intent was to get a few key things finished up then leave a little early. Well...something that I planned on taking maybe an hour, hour and a half tops ended up being an all day project. Now I don't really feel/want to attempt to make progress on some of the other tasks I originally planned on completing but I guess I'll work on them a little. Whine-fest over, have a very happy Easter weekend, everyone! Heal up quickly, Sean! Ha, I just thought of a joke but it may not be appropriate... |

Expert 2811 | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed My horrible two weeks are over, my wife is healing, my daughter received her award for Humanitarian of the Year (she also received two scholarship offers for law school yesterday), and I finished my week by signing up for Ironman Louisville. I actually posted something triathlon related. Edited by JBacarella 2017-04-14 8:51 PM |

Master 8249 Eugene, Oregon | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Congrats on the race! I took Rover (tri bike) out on the road for the first time since September (seriously). Had forgotten what riding outside feels like! It was actually quite nice over in the industrial park--lots of shade, sunny, breezy, and reasonably cool (at 6:30 AM). The ride over and back....not so much! Where do all these people need to go on motorbikes at 6:30 AM on Sunday?? Anyway, did the warmup in the park and, since I hadn't planned on doing the whole thing there and wasn't carrying enough fluids for 2 1/2 hours, just working on some bike handling and checking out my new aero helmet, headed back to finish the last 1 1/2 hours on the trainer. |

Master 10208 Northern IL | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Finally had a decent longer run. Of the last 5, one had a temperature jump of +40 from normal at the time and 3 of the others were cooler (40-45F) & raining with last week having some rather severe cells. Massive downpours with some localized flooding (I had trouble seeing ahead sometimes, on foot remember), lighting, and the walnut hail. One of the few times the situation actually made me nervous. |

Master 8249 Eugene, Oregon | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Sounds like rainy season here! I can visualize it. I've been caught in downpours while running here where not only can I not see where I am going; I'm actually starting to worry that I might drown, because I'm just getting water in when I open my mouth! One storm last year resulted in flash flooding necessitating, in my neighborhood, the rescue of a small dog and pet chicken before they went down a storm drain. The monsoon downpours normally don't last that long, but there was one where I had to take cover under a shelter in a gazebo in a park (fortunately nearby) for almost an hour; one in Singapore where I returned to the hotel through water up to my knees after a solid hour of rain, and a truly amazing deluge (fortunately, not while out running) where a friend and I ran for cover at an outdoor coffee shop downtown and waited....and waited....and waited....for the rain to let up. It was nearly three hours before we felt it safe/doable to continue on foot. |

It was nearly three hours before we felt it safe/doable to continue on foot. It had that feel at times. The temp dropped ~10 degrees once the clouds rolled in, then another 10-15 in a single gust of wind during one of the later bursts. That dropped things into the 40's which is getting into hypothermia territory with all the wetness. The drop was supposed to come, but after midnight, not around 4:30. Thankfully I intentionally kept the route shorter to lap in a more wooded area and where there were a few places to duck in not too far away. But the few minutes to get to one were something. Wanted to get pictures of the hail, but thought it might crack the phone. |
