This needs to be corrected.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE

Do not open that link. Ever.... You will have a pox on your house and famine shall wreak havoc on your tribe. Just don't.

Ignore the man behind the curtain.

Dooooo Eeeeeeet!!  Click it and watch with amazement!

I hate you so much right now!!  This may be the one and only time this will ever be said... I should have listened to Dave.

It was better when random tone-deaf people with no musical ability whatsoever were singing it.

You're welcome

Friday night was fantastic - always a great time to actually meet TANners in person!  If only there wasn't that pesky marathon, we might have gone out dancing with Cheri...

You and Lisa did AWESOME, and great pic of you two after the race.

Tony's not THAT short, but I still haven't worn heels in about 3 years now.

Sooo much fun! I just posted a race report but not all of my pics and even stuff I typed is showing up (it shows up in the edit version but not in the published version)? So weird, BT.

I had something in there about you two prancercizing but it is one of the paragraphs that is mysteriously hidden.

Super thanks to MEH for keeping ME running - I totally think we should do it again. Ha!

OMG - I had completely forgotten about the prancercizing!!   I'm sad the picture of that is hidden, I'm sure that's a gem of a photo

i also busted out gangam style in korea town.  dur!

I just pulled my mozzarella out.

No seriously, I made fresh mozzarella and took it from the cheese cloth today. I can't keep out of it; SO good!

Racist.

Great meeting you and Mr. Meh and sharing a drink and some dinner. Also great seeing Lisa as well. And I know I'm not as short as people make me out to be, but I gotta keep up appearances.

B2B is publishing bib numbers today.... getting geeked (and slightly terrified).

Has anyone mentioned that there is another 140.6 to be done by TANners this year?

Bib #509

This shyte is real, now!

Hmmm - good question...  The almighty Google has come back with an answer!

From the FAQs page:

3) Will this event have live tracking of athletes for family members to view status on-line?
YES. The 2013 edition of PPD B2B will have live instant and searchable results. The web link for these results is posted below.

HALF DISTANCE LIVE RESULTS (NOTE - Nothing will populate until athletes start to cross the timing mats at swim finish on event day)

FULL DISTANCE LIVE RESULTS (NOTE - Nothing will populate until athletes start to cross the timing mats at swim finish on event day)

Groovy, thank you!

I knew I had read it somewhere, but I couldn't find it in the Athlete Guide.

Oh, and one of the bridges we go over is apparently featured heavily in the opening sequences of the movie "Maximum Overdrive"!

oh, and the thread over on slowtwitch has a link to an awesome video of an 18' bull shark circling a boat 25 miles from Wrightsville Beach

Dude. Shaddup! I didn't get bit by a shark OR attacked by a demon truck when I did this race. Are they trying to make it more difficult???

Well, I suppose they felt pressured to do something being that it has gotten out that it's not a REAL 140.6.

I met someone who did that once! She was in a volunteer orientation for the local humane society. I was a wee bit jealous.

My sister kinda did that for a bit.  She's in real estate (which means she pretty much doesn't work) and took a part-time job working at a doggie day care.

I want to see Gravity, now.

In the disturbing news category - the water is shut off in my office while the city does repairs, which means NO COFFEE until they finish.

OMG - it was soooooo boring not working for a year.  And I got really cranky at not being able to do stuff.  Actually, I couldn't even volunteer for the Humane Society or the ASPCA or pretty much anywhere else as I couldn't prove that I was a resident of Chicago.  BOOOORING!

I want to see it too... maybe in Imax?

Can you go outside to get coffee???  If not, you all should be getting danger pay right now as it could get ugly in your office very soon...

Water is back.  Thank you, Jeebus!

That movie... and anything that takes place in space, if filmed right, would be incredible in IMAX.

9 & a Wake Up!!

YAY for B2B numbers!!! I will have people to stalk next weekend Just another day in the office. My tolerance for stupid is at an all time low. At least the girl with the bruised toe who demanded narcotics didn't show up for her re-check xray to be SURE it was not broken. I am tired of wimpy people. I'm tired of people who have had ___ pain for 30 seconds rushing to the orthopod. Then they demand an MRI and by the time the scan gets done they are well................duoh beause there was nothing wrong in the first place but don't take my word for it I've only been doing this for 20 years. Shoot me.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
