Happy Monday, TAN!

Less than 5 days to Beach2Battleship!!!!!!

True but being on call and being in a big build week is worse.....like 2 weeks ago. That about did me in. I have a partner out of town so it is what it is. I have today and thursday on ER call so fingers crossed that nothing bad comes in. Also that there is not a pubic rami fracture-o-rama like the last weekend I was on call. At least those are short consults just a PITA to have to keep running back to the hospital to say..OK you need PT and a walker. Old people of Pinellas county STOP FALLING DOWN!!!

What's that?  Are you asking about my IM race?

Why yes!  I AM doing one of those!  Of course it's not a "real" 140.6, so I might as well just bandit the thing since it doesn't matter.

Hooray for fake IM's!   I'm thankful it won't be a REAL 112 mile bike, cuz that would hurt, a LOT.

I will pretend to be offended.

I have actually only bandited a race once - sort of by accident. I did my prescribed run for the day, ending at a coffee shop. Got coffee and walked to the start of a 5K in my neighborhood intending to cheer people on. Alllll my buddies were there and before I knew it, I had finished my coffee and was running with them. I mean, I would have HAD to run the race route to get home anyway... it just happened to be with all of the racers.

Before you arrest me I just want to say that I take full responsibility.
And - I went back after and donated to the charity. I know, I'm a horrible person.

Yep, since it's a fake one, it'll only be a pretend hurt.  And you shouldn't even think of taking any personal responsibility for any fake pain you might be in - it's not your fault!

You are a terrible, terrible person.  Even if you do take responsibility for your actions, you are morally corrupt and you should be flogged or something to atone for your sins.

I am so totally offended!

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
