Pro 6191 | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser cjkelly0729 - 2012-02-15 11:37 AM I don't know what to think about the previews for next week. It looks as if someone takes a temptation and then gets the power to reshape the teams. While a lot can be done with edited previews, it appears all hell breaks loose with Dolvett running around the weigh-in segment telling people to wait, as someone walks out and they showe a bunch of + numbers going up. Looks as if one team or group decide to throw the weigh in ... While some seasons have been boring, I am not a big fan when it turns into a typical reality-style Real Housewives type show. I like to think of it as one of the few positive reality shows, but looks like that is not the case this season. I still can't think of one single contestant that I am actively rooting for??? On nbc.com, the blurb with the video for next week's preview is: "The drama ratchets up a notch when the winner of a killer temptation challenge wields the power to change up the teams." So, yeah. This is the episode where things get crazy. Just watched last weeks - I think they really downplayed how Roy was acting for how willing everyone was to vote him off. With Conda gone, they didn't have to deal with her stupidity, so someone had to take the role of rubbing everyone the wrong way. |

If that's the case, then judging by the previews, I'd guess that Daphne got stuck with Kim and Conda and they tried to throw the weigh in just so they could eliminate her. It'll be tough after the week she had, but I will be thrilled if Daphne then pulls the biggest loss again. |

Subject: RE: Biggest Loser Finally watched this weeks episode. It's so interesting how this show has gone from capturing the viewers to root for all the contestants to lose weight...then make it emotional when we realize who's going home...to now it's just a full on reality show with a weight loss competition on the side. I would bet ANYTHING...that the producers sat down with Dolvett and Bob and told them to match up Conda and Daphnie. Why not...it certainly peaked my attention. Chris just cracks me up. "I feel betrayed"..."I told Bob I needed him"...LMAO. Conda is still a witch...but I was expecting a lot more drama between her and Dolvett at home. Mark is getting really irritating, and the entire red team has no clue what's going on. Chism's reaction to Conda's weight loss on the scale was priceless. I was hoping he would have thrown in a "Boo-yah...in yo face!!!". The only thing better would have been if his dad got sent home. I like how Roy took the high road even though he was voted off strictly because his teammates didn't like him. If you throw out Conda and Daphnie...because they had individual training the whole week, Roy's weight loss percentage was 3rd best out of the 11 other contestants. Buddy's was the 3rd worst, and Kimmy's was the 4th worst. And as much as you want to hate her...Kim is putting up some pretty good results on the scale. With her pro wrestiling background...I think she has that killer instinct to possibly win the show. Especially because she has so many "allies" |

Unless they both somehow get immunity. OR maybe the whole team has immunity. |

Champion 8766 Evergreen, Colorado | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser Finally got to watch this episode. I was glad Daphne beat Conda. I didn't see the logic in voting off Roy. It stinks that both Conda and Daphne will probably have lousy weeks next week and if there is a team mix up that can definitely be a problem. For some reason these contestants cannot get it in their head that for the one person to carry the team they have to get drastic. And drastic one week means a plus the next week. Yet people act like the person let them down. Mark is quite possibly the most annoying. I forget who was first, but it was someone small and he was mad that they pulled a below the average needed number. Um, hello...the bigger people have to lose more than the little people. That's why it's called an AVERAGE. I also can't help but think the trainers may have been prompted to pick the contestants they picked. Dolvett would be an idiot if he CHOSE to take Conda who lost like 8 pounds last week. Kim was the obvious choice for them. Come to think of it, I may agree with the person who posted that maybe the red team threw last week's weigh in...sure seems like it... There was DEFINITELY less drama at the ranch without Conda around. Even Conda's mother inferred that Conda was a mouth. |

The black team throws the weigh in because no one can handle all the drama. I have a strange feeling that the drama will mysteriously continue. As for the article, NBC should dump them all for breach of contract. I guarantee that contract they signed said the rules could change whenever and however NBC wanted. The attitude is the same reason the aqua team had targets on their backs the second they returned. |

First was when Conda was on the scales and said there is a virus (that's not the exactly word, but something like that) on the black team. YES! There is...and last week there was chaos on the red team - when Conda was there. The turmoil seems to mysteriously be wherever Conda is. HOW DOES NO ONE SEE THAT? The black team thrived while Conda was on the red team and all of a sudden when Conda arrives there is tension and they are willing to GAIN weight, or at least slow their loss? HOW DO THEY NOT SEE THAT IT IS CONDA? No, the black girl, can't remember her name, she didn't make a great decision, but why wouldn't she point it out that drama follows Conda. If she noticed that black team was eating bread and not doing their homework and knew they would throw the weigh-in, it would have been easy to be the biggest loser an get immunity. She said she was working out every waking moment, then gained 2 pounds? Why did she "do herself in" The other time I couldn't contain myself was when Conda sais she was "being a role model for my daughter"! HOLY COW! She can not be serious! That child is going to need therapy. |

She said she was working out every waking moment, then gained 2 pounds? Why did she "do herself in" Remember that Conda and Daphne (the two that gained weight) were the only weights to count for their team last week. Whenever that is the case the person ALWAYS ends up gaining some back the next week. Always. It happened last season too. It really $crews over the person whose weight counts unless their team is kind enough to realize that in order to have that big loss LAST week (to save the team) they will have to deal with a gain this week. |

Pro 4339 Husker Nation | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser JoshR - 2012-02-22 10:21 AM I was shocked when Bob mentioned that Daphne didn't realize how much influence Conda has on both teams. I was really hoping Daphne would slap her. Yes! I was like "Wow, if Bob can see it, then it should be obvious to EVERYBODY." How is it that some punk-apple 23 year-old whiny crybaby can have so much control over these people? There are 40-50 year-olds still on the show just letting this crap go on! Just goes to show you that their weight loss is an outward reflection of an internal problem (hence why each contestant cries at least once per season, and some at least once per episode). I'm glad to see Daphne go. The fact that she blatantly lied and said she didn't eat anything was pretty low-brow to me. At the same time, if Conda would be gone I think a lot of the other contestants would be much more like-able, even Kim. When she stepped up during the week they were without a trainer it showed me that she does have the right stuff in her to be a team player and to help the other contestants out. Everybody else is brought down because of Conda, and it's ruining the show for me as a result. I was very glad to hear the blonde girl (the weight lifter) say that she wasn't going to let Conda's issues have an effect on her goals anymore. I was really bummed out that Cassandra stooped to that level, but at the same time I can appreciate the position everyone on Black was in if they went against Conda (at the next elimination). Would not be surprised one bit to see Christine ostracized and vilified next week because she actually wanted to, you know, lose weight, on a freakin' weight loss show. I miss the days where people went on the show to lose weight and not play games. To do their best and not complain, to work through their issues, and be willing to be voted off to keep the extremely unhealthy people on the show with the trainers. Instead we now have entire teams throwing weigh-ins, teams ganging up on contestants to push them out of the show, people quitting the show for no really good reason. It's just a shame. I'm pulling for Blondie and Cassandra to win it, I think I like them best based purely on personality and attitude. Buddy is a close 3rd, and I think he has what it takes to take the thing at home because he puts up good numbers with/without a trainer, at home or on the ranch. |

Member 50 Seattle, WA | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser This has to be the least likeable group of contestants the producers have ever put together. At this point, there's not a single one of them on either team that I would like to see win the whole thing. (Buddy might be the one exception. Or maybe it's just been a while since he's involved himself in the drama-filled crap, and I've forgotten.) Conda is toxic in a way that I haven't seen on past seasons...and there have been some pretty crazy, manipulative b*tches in the history of the show. I think I might be done watching. Seeing the transformations happen over time is what I've always found interesting, but when it's happening with such whiny children, I'm way less compelled to give it my attention. |

Member 131 Connecticut | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser Did you see Dolvett get all upset during the weigh-in? Perhaps if he had been that upset when the Red Team was plotting against Adrian, this whole thing might have been squashed early on. ALso, if he had been a bit more critical and direct with Conda, rather than sweet-talking to her, it might have had some influence. Bob tried much harder with Daphne. I can't beleive what a whiner COnda's brother ended up being also - crying because he was on a new team. My gosh, grow a pair will ya? Some of these people are going to have a VERY tough time when they leave. |

Okay I did a google search and saw something about them all wanting to leave because of a twist where contestants come back. Um, I'm sure the rules say that NBC planned out the whole season in advance and thus whatever happens was planned long before the contestants ever got to the ranch. I mean, have these people never SEEN the show???? This isn't the first season that a team eliminated before even getting to the ranch got a chance to come back. And it wouldn't be the first time eliminated contestants could come back in the middle. This is a GAME and NBC wrote the rules! They can do whatever they want! The contestants need to quit their complaining! If they want to win they should just kick butt at losing weight! What I don't understand from the article is that there aren't that many weeks left. Why would the contestants still be on the ranch and able to walk off? By now they should be well into their final 5 months of "at home" time before the finale....what we're seeing right now was filmed 6+ months ago... Edited by jldicarlo 2012-02-22 2:09 PM |
