I just want to say that I ran 10 min miles (avg) on my 3.3 mile run this evening. On a training run. Dare I hope I could do that on a 10k???? After a 24 mile bike??? I'm getting excited. Calm down. Really. It felt easy. I was pushing it, but not close to blowing up or dying. /brag Thanks! I'm glad someone has confidence. I keep running the numbers. If everything goes perfectly, amazingly . . . I can't even type it. That time would be too good to be true. Even my if-everything-goes-as-expected-time is much better than I would have thought a year ago. And I'm not going to think about the if-everything-goes-wrong time. lol And have you seen my swim times??? Improvement. And I'll be wearing a wet suit, so that should make it even better. My bike is in the shop for a check up and they are putting on my racing tires. Woohoo!! This will be my first season with them. I've got first-triathlon-of-the-season fever. Your enthusiasm is infectious!! You will do great! |

Of course you can do it, you need to run your race, take what the course gives you and settle into yourself. But you already knew that. In the past year we have seen you race over that Psycho Wyco course, train in snow, battle brutal Kansas winds, make your swim much faster, and continue to improve. You have fought through and you continue to embrace the training. You are the embodiment of what triathlon should be for most of us, and I simply pray that you have an enjoyable experience. |

Does anyone know the best way to get it out? Dilute a little bit of Simple Green in water (1 part Simple Green to 5 parts water) and brush into the fabric with an old toothbrush. Let it sit until it dries. You might need to repeat. Then launder as normal. |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Mad Mutant Manatee Mentors 4--CLOSED Lots to say this morning Felicia you are such a strong racer, you got this! Looking forward to all of the RRs! Looks like some fun races! I'm excited and nervous about my 100k. No logic to the nervousness but DH says I'm always more nervous when the event is meaningful like this one is. There will be sections along the course that are "rolling memorial zones" where NM officers were killed in the line of duty. There will be bagpipes playing and we are asked to sit up and "soft pedeal". I'll probably cry. There are 5 "recharge zones" along the way so I'm figuring a stop every 15k or so. I won't know what to do with all those breaks Ashley, the niece for whom I did O'side, is asking about biking and swimming! One of her Ulman Cancer Fund peeps asked her on FB if she's on her way to her first tri and she said "maybe just maybe". She says she needs help with the swim. Felicia how close are you to Salina My run was beautiful this morning but "my" mountain is on fire. Looks pretty small, I think they already have it under control. When I got to the office it appeared that someone left the sprinklers on all night. It gets cold at night in Santa Fe.
