Formerly "karhooligan", which was a play on my last name.  I changed it to this in honor of my brother Steve, who passed away from cancer at age 40, just over one year ago.  I also have the term tattoo'd on my arm in simplified Chinese, flanked by a triathlon tattoo.  The tattoo rocks and can be viewed in my album...which should also clearly identify my gender...at least I hope so.

My husband and I own a hot air balloon with two other couples, childhood friends of my husbands.  Anyway, the balloon is black and white and looks like a checkered flag.  It has a large #75 on it.  Hot Air Balloons, like motorcycles, get named.  Ours is named Team Win 75.  I thought it would be a good name to use for everything Triathlon related since it has a competitive spirit to it.

I bought a new computer in February and I haven't transferred all my pictures over to the new computer.  Once I do, I'll post a picture of our balloon.  For those of you who've been to Disneyland's California Adventure, in Southern California, our balloon is in the shot of Napa Valley in the Soaring Over California ride.

I'm an engineer so it's a play on the formula for the area of a circle (PI*R^2)...

Here is my explanation from last time:

Speedball is not because I am fast or I necessarily love to mix and inject heroin and cocaine. My first name is Tucker and a buddy said "there is an old Jim Croce song called Speedball Tucker I think I'll call you speedball". Whatever.

OFF TOPIC:

Was listening to XM online and this song called Check your Coat came on by Oneal McKnight and I saw SpeedBall's avatar after I was done laughing I remained mesmorized for about another 1-2 mins grooving with the bear.

I just thought it was going to be some Logon ID that my computer would remember forever, I had no clue it would be "ME". I've been wanting to change it, but not enough time to think of something catchy.

I've tried over the years to be creative with usernames, usually with results that were either too goofy or too obscure. So, I just combined the mascots of my two alma maters:

Florida Southern College Mocs
Duke Blue Devils

Ala "Blue Moc"

I was looking for an on-line name and did a Google search for something like fictional or fantasy characters. Micawber is a character from a Dickens novel, that I have yet to read, who has been referred to as a literary characterization of an "eternal optimist". That sounded appropriate for me getting into triathlon at the time. He was also supposed to be a bit of a rogue which I thought was interesting too, though I hope less apt.

Quite a few years ago I was trying to come up with something cool to do with the fact that I live in CA, and well, that Beatles song California Dreaming I've always liked. Also, something to do with dreaming, goals, whatever.

So, cadreamer or some form thereof has pretty much been my online identity since then.

There's lots of other stuff (hobbies, interests, etc.) I could go with, but then I'd have to remember more than one ID.

Well, I'm not a smart man.  I just adapted "Run, Forrest run" from Forrest Gump.
