Expert 662 Tempe Silver member | Subject: RE: IMAZ 2009 - ESCKTC TENT Hey - just wanted everyone to know that I will be onsite for 18+ hours and will have a popup tent, cooler, chairs etc., to help support our Cool Kids / BT athletes and their friends and family. I'll set it up in the morning before the swim start so everyone knows where it is (we might even set it up Saturday assuming no winds to knock it over during the night). I'll be bouncing around TTL hopefully getting some athlete pics and video, and then at 3 p.m. I'll head over to the finish line for 9+ hours of volunteering, with one shift of "catching" athletes and one shift of handing out medals/T-shirts (I'll be taking a bit of a break when Dean comes through!). Hopefully I'll get to see ALL of you finish! |

When I made the decision to try this, a big factor in the 'pro' column was that I knew I would have a lot of friends there for support and encouragement - on the course, spectating, and volunteering. I don't know that I would have chosen to take this on without knowing that I would be surrounded by so many friends throughout the day. |
