I think every woman *could* get away with white pants if they were the right style and size for her body size/shape. However, I have seen a lot of DON'Ts in white pants. |

For me, there is one essential and that is that the pants are not super tight (and for me this extends to most pants of any color). Even if the wearer is not supermodel skinny or not very in shape. I like pants to be just big enought to ride low on the hips and not be tight. And of course it goes without saying, if they're white there should be a thong and one that cannot be seen through (or above) the pants. |

My Niece graduated from high school and at her graduation party whe was wearing white jeans. It had been raining earlier that morning so the grass was still wet. She and my daughter had been horsing around the yard when she slipped and fell skidding on her butt! A few minutes later my wife grabbed my Niece by the arm. Tears were streaming down her face as she told Leslie she needed to go and change her pants. Her skid on the wet grass made it look like she had a major accident in her pants. |

I love the "martin" fit trousers from Banana Republic because they fit me brilliantly, and I saw a pair of white ones on super sale..tried them on and it was tragic. Just not meant for my body type. On the other hand, one of my co-workers had the same trousers on with this lovely grey top, and she looked FANTASTIC in them. I don't get it. I am also super messy and sloppy. |

| Master 1895 | Subject: RE: White Pants on Women I never had any idea that wearing white pants could be such a big deal...until some drunk guy at a bar made an inappropriate comment, something along the lines of me "wanting it" because I was wearing white pants. And they were relaxed fitting white pants! What a creep! I think they can look great. It doesn't matter the shape of the person if the pants flatter their figure. That being said, I haven't pulled out those white pants again. But I do have a pair of white capri's that are probably worn out I've worn them so much.

I love wearing them, but don't very often, because they really stand out. I used to have a pair of "winter white" dress pants which I liked, too, but they got too big and I had to donate them.
