Subject: RE: two-a-days....I swear I will tomorrow!Once upon a time, long ago and far away, I spent many years doing shift work. Much of it required long traveling times from home, and a lot of it also involved 12 hour shifts. Being quite young at the time, an active social life took precedence over sleep too.
When the clock goes off, your feet have to hit the floor within a couple of seconds and you don't stop moving. You may have to undo, or redo, some things but don't stop. Eventually, you wake up and start making conscious decisions but until then everything has to be where you can find it without thinking. Lay out your clothes and gear the night before. A snooze button lets you stop moving and that won't work. You have to start moving and keep moving. It gets easier once you're used to it. |
