I find that I enjoy running more in tri shorts instead of my running shorts: no chafing & the compression feels good.  Anybody else?

I use running shorts.
Mostly because they have a pocket that I can put my house key in.

Running shorts for me unless I'm doing a brick, then I will throw running shorts and a tee over my tri suit.

There are running specific shorts that are similar to tri shorts.  I have a pair of Brooks that work great.

I'm pretty thin now, and pretty quick, but I still find my thighs rub in runner shorts so I wear tris. Lame but whatever. My Zoots all have side pockets for gels/keys.

I don't wear my actual tri shorts because there are too few and too expensive to wear and wash weekly.  I don't really wear running shorts, though (Athena thighs... ) and wear things that FIT like tri shorts.

I usually wear running shorts unless I'm doing a brick workout

I prefer running shorts over tri shorts.  The only time I run in tri shorts is bricks and races.

I've been training in my tri-suit with tech-t over it just to see how it will feel in upcoming Long course tri.  Usually, I run in regular 4$ cotton shorts.  always have.

I think I agree with you. I often run in runing shorts but I think I like wearing tri shorts better.

If it's a brick, I might be in a tri suit. Other than that, running shorts... But, I do agree about rubbing and chafing, so I usually wear synthetic underwear like Nike Pro Combat.

Running shorts for running - my thighs look too sausage-y in tri shorts for everyday use. Exceptions: bricks, and running in the rain.

Bricks in tri-shorts, one-pieces or bike shorts (spontaneus brick)

Run only in run shorts and in the winter in longer run shorts up to sweat pants

Basically I mix it up?

though I don't bike in run-shorts... (yet)

Running shorts, but they do have running tights if you prefer a closer fit.

I run in my running shorts aka football jersey material shorts, but I think of getting something a little more trim. When I wear my zoot top with my running shorts it kind of feels like mullet wear.

Business on top casual on the bottom.

Running shorts, unless it's a brick run...I don't really want/need the token chamois pad for a run-only workout.  (Losing 75 lbs took care of the chafing, fwiw...not an issue with running shorts these days.)

Actually, I've worn tri shorts for long runs in the rain...not so soggy...

I almost always run in compression shorts (or my jammers) under a pair of soccer shorts when I run.   My tri shorts are short, the jammers are long.  The extra compression feels good (and my jammers are cheaper than tri shorts so I don't mind wearing them out!)
