Beginning of month: 225.8

Last week: 224

This week 222.6

Total loss: 3.2

Booyah!  I feel like my nutrition is on track for the first time in a year.  I'm doing the keto diet (low carb, high fat, adequate protein) and I can feel the energy coming back.  Training starts next week and I also need to quit smoking.  It's a year of change and I think I'm ready to face it.

Good job! You are doing great. It looks to me like you can do what you put your mind to! Good luck with the last week of not training.

Good for you! If I can quit smoking, anyone can. I am going to be celebrating my 2 years 100% smoke free April 2nd this year. Feels amazing. How are you going to go about doing it? I used Chantix, it was a heck of a drug but it worked wonders.

Congrats, you quitter!

I've done Chantix before, but this time I'd like to do it drug free.  Besides, my doc wants me to come in for an appointment before he will prescribe it and the next appointment is a month out.  I might try the nicotine gum or patch, but I want to see if I can do this on my own.

That's awesome. Well I know I'm here and I'm sure everyone else is if you need support! I think quitting smoking was harder then loosing 50/60lbs

It's Sunday night and I've made it through the weekend eating well and getting my training in. I just saw some pictures of me and although I still have a way to go, I look way better than I did two weeks ago. I go back to a year ago when I'm feeling bummed and remind myself that I've gotten fit before and can do it again.

Hang in there, guys! Weekend's almost over.

Good work,

I ran a 1/2 this weekend 40 seconds from a PR. Ate pretty well. And stayed away from eating a horrible meal post race. Otherwise, it was a great weekend.

Looking forward to posting progress this week.

Hello, hello! It's Tuesday Weight-in!

1/13: 150
1/16: 149.6
1/21: 148.8
1/28: 148.8

Weight lost: 1.2

No change, but I forgot to weigh myself this morning and just got to it at 5pm early evening. I imagine I was a tad less in the morning since I usually put on a little weight as the day wears on.

Back to the work week where it's easier to control my eating.

Have a great day!

With the coming of the New Year, athletes commonly think about making nutrition resolutions. Good thing, given only 3 to 4% of Americans follow all of the established Dietary Guidelines.
