Yikes looks like I'm the only one who likes the PowerGels! Hammer is too thick for me, the vanilla powergel is my absolute stand-by [we have 3 cases of it in the pantry right now] because it reminds me of white frosting and it goes down nice and smooth. Tastes fine warm too.

Honey Stingers are great. They taste like...well, honey. Which is a good thing. And honey is very easy to digest. Give them a try.

I love espresso Gu. Tastes good and has the caffeine I need before a race without the liquid volume of coffee.

PowerGel, double electrolytes ... super for the long haul, less salt I have to carry. Can't beat the taste ... the vanilla tastes like coconut milk, and the raspberry cream tastes like a sweet little tart.

I do not like Hammer... The apple cinnimon is just plain nasty. They all are too thick and have a nasty after taste... maybe it is just me.

I a fan of the PowerBar x4 Sodium. I also have had good experience with Cliff Shots and Cliff Shot Blocks.

I've tried PowerGel, Cliff Shots, Hammer gel and a few others.  All of them made my stomach feel like I was running with a brick in it.  The only gel I have consistently been able to stomach is Gu.  It's a good texture and tastes good - I'm partial to the Vanilla Bean and Espresso Love flavors.

Hammer Raspberry is the greatest, no stomach issues, and it goes down easy. Its not too sweet either, it tastes like a raspberry jam. Awesome.

Accelerade Gel and drinks.  Has the protein carb ratio.   Plus it is tasty .

Espresso love and orange GU's are hands down the best.  Cliff gels while decent tasting always leave sticky substance behind in the jersey pocket or car no matter how hard you try to squeeze that last little bit out.

I too am a huge fan of the Rasberry.

That being said, I received a couple of gift cards to a LBS and plan on using it all on a variety of gels to find what I like the best since my HIM plan starts after the 1st.

I use the Gu chocolate outrage. The best I have found for something I like the taste of. It is just like a nice bit of chocolate pudding.

Gotta give props to Hammer Gel.
Having a very sensitive stomach, Hammer products are the only products I can handle on long training days.

I used to be PowerGel only.  But I had sugar issues during long runs.  Now I use HammerGel.  I agree on the thickness but oh well.

I used power gel and really liked the taste of the vanilla, but had issues over long distances. Used on a century ride and they seemed to cause some stomach issues, and bonked really hard after the stomach issue. Later I was told the issue was the simple sugar intake from the powergels???? I switched to hammergel rasberry, and have found them to work much better for my body type. I don't have issues over the long excursions, and even though it is THICK! Just take it with water and all is good.

PowerGel with electrolytes. I like the taste of Hammer Raspberry the best, but I'd rather have the electrolytes in the powergels. GU is way too sweet and thick for me.

Someone would make a lot of $$ if they could make a gel that was easier to get into and wasn't so sticky.  Also a good bar tape cleaner.  Everything is sooooo sticky!

I used both hammer gel and gu but I typically dilute each one in my flask with either some water or gatorade. But I like a lot of flavors just no chocolate

Hammer.  switched from Power gel, simply because I hated ripping all those packages open to fill my flask.
