  • Comments: I was surprised this race wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be, there were supposed to be 30k but only 22 or so ran, even still I pretty much could run my own pace once the gun went off. Will be doing this race next year I assume.

  • Comments: The only think that really was unacceptable is that there was no sports drink option for athletes at the end of the race. For a race with this profile and this cost that is just no good enough.

  • Comments: I've done a lot of running races and this was by far one of the most fun and most organized races. I'll definitely be back if my schedule and body allow it next year.

  • Comments: Fabulous race. Very personal and emotional. Georgous day and it is always great to be in DC. It was hard to see all the shirts with "In memory of..." with a soldier's face on it. After a while I had to stop reading them. Hopefully I'll be back next year.

  • Comments: Great race overall. Loved to see the soldiers on the route, both at the aid stations, and those doing the run. Was inspiring to see the injured soldiers in there doing this run-- truly amazing. Tho i have to say it was humbling being passed by a blind man. :)

  • Comments: Glad to be done when I did before they ran out of water at the end. The water stations at the end did not move up as they ran out. About a quarter-mile after the finish line before I was able to get a bottle. Cattle lines were pretty crowded at the end/chip collection area as well. Only two volunteers to hand out 10,000 finisher coins. My legs were cramping from standing in this line alone. Overall organization for the year with the heat and humidity needed work.

  • Comments: Water station #6 (mile) ran out of water. The other table after that seemed to have limited water. Not good for us runners at the end of the race.

  • Comments: A little disappointed that they ran out of water at mile marker 6. And that they didn't have enough coins to give out at the finish and we had to email the race to say we didn't get a coin. Other than that it was a good race and well organized.

  • Comments: Good course, good organization, get quite a lot for your entry fee. Lesson learned though is to line up further forward than you think that you should if you follow rules because otherwise you'll get caught behind the people that don't. Mom wished cameras had been allowed.

  • Comments: Some nitpicky things: -- If you're going to have a list of prohibited items a mile long, ostensibly for "security" reasons, please actually enforce it. There was supposedly a security checkpoint to get to the start - I certainly didn't go through it. -- Allowing cameras while prohibiting fuel belts, cell phones and HRM's makes no sense whatsoever. A determined bad guy can do as much with a camera as with an HRM or cell phone. But, it's a great course, brings in a fair amount of spectators, the parachute teams at the start were very cool, and I'd do it again.
