  • Comments: Too early in the season to avoid running into cold rain and wind. But nice not to have to wait so long for first tri of the year. I live in Keller so I am real familiar with the pool, bike and run courses. Love it. If I had had to drive an hour to compete in adverse conditions I may have skipped this one...but probably not! ;)

  • Comments: Besides messing my Time up it was a great race. I had to leave after the race and saw they forgot to take the time from the 1st swimmer entered the water and I started. My swim time said 17 min swim. LOL... Come on now... Not sure if they fixed it or not. I sent a email. I hope to hear back.

  • Comments: I loved the pancakes, but it was too cold to stick around for much else. I was shivering badly :(. I'm happy with the Event and hope that I get to do it again next year, albeit prepared for the awful weather and with more training. I also would love to train with a group next time---I think I did well for having self-trained, but I want to see how I do if I train with others.

  • Comments: Even with the poor conditions, the RD keep his jokes and running monologue up which I thought was good,, there were plenty of volunteers and everything went well.. I'm not sure about the new company doing the timing chips though, I heard there were some issues's

  • Comments: Really happy I did this race; now any other will have better weather conditions and I'll know more about what to expect. The people were really nice and helpful and seeing a runner with a big green wig just makes me smile.

  • Comments: Overall... I think the race itself was well run, and one of the better DA managed events I've been to. Especially considering the weather. Some say that the weather affected folks evenly, but I feel some used it to their advantage by HTFUing through the race in minimal clothes. I thought they were nuts though.

  • Comments: I highly recommend this race. I loved the swim and bike course and thought there were plenty of volunteers and spectators as well. The run just seemed so curvey but it was also nice to see other runners so often. I loved the sponges, food and the MC was awesome too. Even the shirts and hats were good. I will do this race again next year!

  • Comments: Great turnout for this race which is very cool to see. Waiting around in the pool area sucks but there isn't much they can do about it. The t-shirts are by far the worst I have ever seen. Otherwise this is a fun race. Big ups to the guys cooking pancakes. They stood there all day in the wind until everyone got some!

  • Comments: I can't say enough good things about this race. This was a perfect first triathlon experience for me and my girlfriend. We both had a great time, were impressed by the level of assistance, the course, everything. I really loved the leprechaun pope. He made a great emcee. I recommend the race and course to newbies, beginners, and even experts looking for a speed workout.

  • Comments: Great race! There was a big wait in the pool area for all of us to get in the water. This might need to be addressed by them in the coming years but overall...I HIGHLY suggest this race to anyone.

  • Comments: RD was hilarious as he MC'd the finish. Best joke heard (paraphrased): I named my dog Herpes, 'cause he wouldn't heal! Thanks to all the volunteers. Once again, they made everything safe for us racers. Thanks to all the jockstrappers. Once again, they made everyone (me) feel like a champion! Thanks to my BT friends for your support!

  • Comments: It was a really fun time. I saw a ton of BT'ers, and got to meet some new ones. This race had a big turnout for us. Thanks to Brian and Aaron for bringing cameras and taking a lot of pictures. Thanks also to the BT'ers who just came to JS for the racers. That was way cool. If Aaron or Brian send me some pictures, I will post them here.

  • Comments: Race itself was very well run. Course was well marked, plenty of law enforcement and volunteers to help keep things running smoothly. Excellent volunteers in key places to make sure people when the right direction, etc. High marks in this department. Registration - Fair. Could have been a bit more organized - Chip pickup was late starting, but that's ok. SWAG -- Non existant. This kind of surprised me. Finishers Medals -- Nice touch.. This race is one I'd do again without hesitation. The race itself was VERY well run, RD took time to walk along the pool while we were waiting to start and thanked us for participating.
