  • Comments: I just love the point to point swim and the shaded run course. Although the roads on the bike course are not always the smoothest - it seems that this bike course is always a fast ride. The size of the field is perfect and DQ does a really nice job pulling these events together. I really wish I had enough cash and time to do all their races.

  • Comments: Fifth year in a row doing this event. A fun, popular race with a good, enthusiastic crowd. I like doing this event because of that, because it's a long weekend and we can go to Oxford afterwards. But it's gotten to the point that I can just show up and do this, almost without even thinking about it. Starting to think I need a "new" event. Maybe next year I'll do their Medford Lakes Tri the weekend before.

  • Comments: This race as well as Stone Harbor (when I can actually get into it) and NJ State are my three favorite races to compete in. Kudos also to my buddy Steve who sacrificed about 10 minutes of his race time on the bike to stop and assist a fellow competitor. She had crashed on the bike course, tangled herself up in barb wire and dislocated her elbow. Steve stayed with her until the race director could get a support crew out on the course to take care of everything. He should have some good karma coming his way.

  • Comments: Nice course. I liked the swim. A lot of room to spread out. The bike course is fast and the run is/was mostly in the shade. All in all I really like doing this race and will register for next year.

  • Comments: Overall a great race. Local, 15 mins from my house, solid competition and a lot of friends. What more can you ask for. In all...a good day and a pretty tough course. It's been since June of 2008 since my last race. A few things I noticed. Mainly, the main field is creeping up. Over a year ago it was not as competitive and you knew your competition pretty well. After the run turn around the main field was a lot closer to the front. That's a great thing. It means that races will be more competitive and that you really need to bring it on race day. I like that. Winning by a few minutes is not fun. Racing guys head to head is fun!

  • Comments: I like this race. It was my first tri in 2006 and I've done it every year since. Size of the field is good, course is decent, fairly close to home, and pretty organized.

  • Comments: I really like this race. I'm partial to it because it was the first one I ever did two years ago, but it's just a good time and the DQ people do a nice job. The venue is kind of unusual, so much of it taking place in a residential neighborhood, making it kind of "homespun" and "casual", but I like that part of it. I was surprised to see the number of participants was "only" 363; I thought they had almost 400 sign up, and the number was 22 short of last year's field. Things were a little harried at the beginning, during packet pick-up, because there are so many of us. Last year I got my packet the night before so I didn't have to mess with the crowd at pre-race. The other DQ races this year were smaller fields so that part went much smoother.

  • Comments: Nice little race. For a small event, there were lots of pretty competetive folks out there today! It was nice to go into a race with pretty much no expectations - just out for fun with some friends. I was pleased with my times, especially considering how little training I've done lately. I had a good time out there today.

  • Comments: Would have gave the race a 5 but DQ needs to do a much better job of keeping people out of transition area. I never feel safe with my bike and gear just hanging around after the race.

  • Comments: This is the race I use to track my progress. It was my first race two years ago. Looking back at previous results, I did a fantastic job this year. Five minutes faster than 2007, seventeen minutes faster than 2006. Today was the best race I've ever had (even beat my King's Grant time from three weeks ago, and that's a shorter race!). I am disappointed in the bad run, but I've been struggling with that for three or four months now - it was probably the best I could do right now. Overall I'm really happy, and I've never enjoyed the bike so much during a race.

  • Comments: This race was well organized and the sign-in process was smooth. I liked that you could select your spot in the transition area as it rewards those who get there early to setup. I don't know if this is the norm or not as I have only done 2 races and the previous one had pre-set positions, but was not very organized.

  • Comments: A very nice little race. I loved the neighborhood feel. Great for first timers, of which there appeared to be quite a few. Only my third sprint ever, so it was a great fit for me. Organizers were a little slow getting the swim started, but with 3 PB's today, I have little to complain about. Things are starting to come together for me in this great sport. Swim, swim, swim, swim, and swim some more. This event took place in the middle of me fighting a chest cold.
