  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: Kind of a shame that they are losing numbers at this race. In the past they've had 300 participants, less than 100 this year. It's really a fun, low-key race that I hope sticks around so I can keep up my tradition of racing it.

  • Comments: I can only compare this race to road (running) races. It was well-organized with very supportive and friendly volunteers. While I was concerned about where I was on the bike portion, there wasn't a way for me to get lost. Plus, I've never been all alone on a course before! Regarding the drink stations, it would be nice if there were more, but there really isn't any place else to put them. You definitely need to have your own hydration.

  • Comments: I'm probably a weirdo, but I love Pocomoke. I've done 2 Columbia Triathlons and I love the accomplishment but can't stand all the fuss that goes into it (packet pickup, bike racking, locking down the course, etc...). It's just nice to showup, rack my bike, race and then just head out of the parking lot. Nice people, good food... The rocks at the beginning of the ride have to go though...bad, bad, bad

  • Comments: I was not impressed with the organizers. One person checking people in, no swimcaps, no body marking, allowing people to wear ipods during the race, etc. I understand wanting to be laid back for 1st timers but this was the worst I have seen. I may do it again but improvement is needed. On to Eagleman!!

  • Comments: Just a really fun race. Much simpler and easier to deal with than races like Columbia. Could be a little more organized, but there's never been anything that wouldn't keep me coming back every year. Course overall was shorter, but still, taking another 14 minutes off of last year's time was nice.

  • Comments: Improved on all legs, overall 12 minutes faster then last year. Improved my swim -1:20, T1 -0:15, bike -1:50(but AHR 140 vs 147), T2 -1:18, run -4 minutes for shorter course + -3:10 minutes for running. I think I need to put off the HIM hopes until next year and work on Olympics. Need to race an Olympic as strongly as I did this race before moving on.

  • Comments: Things the director should look at for next year: Only one person on the computer checking people in, which made for a very long wait...I waited 25 minutes, and I was one of the early ones. Also, a little annoyed they had already run out of small shirts. I thought I listed shirt size when I signed up. As mentioned previously, the gravel start was not a good idea, especially for those poor cyclists who got a flat, I'm sure from this patch of road. Overall though, the people who volunteered were wonderful. The event speaks very well of Pocomoke. I'll do this one next year!

  • Comments: Was a nice place for a race. Enjoyed the use of the YMCA locker room as opposed to Spot-A-Pots. Pre and post race, even shwoers if we wanted to. Will do it again next year. Post race festivites included Josh and I getting back on the road home as quickly as possible. I am a little confused on my timing as the race clock read 1:42:00ish when I went through but I started 8 minutes later in my wave? No biggy but what am I missing?

  • Comments: Official results are in: Place 43 Division/Total 10/32 Swim rank 75 Swim time 13:17 T1 2:01 Bike rank 44 Bike time 44:06 T2 0:42 Run rank 46 Run time 29:00 Total time 1:29:04 This was my first sprint tri, so I didn't know what to expect. I had hoped to come in under 1:45 (remember the run is 3.5 not 3.1), and would have been happy with anything less than 2:00. I was honestly quite shocked when I saw 1:29:04 as I sailed (practically literally) through the finish chute. Coming in under 1:30 was definitely red-shirts doing, so I guess I should be thankful for him. I really enjoyed the small town feel of this race. Opening prayer and no national anthem was strange. I've sung the national anthem at many functions before, and I wish I would have known they needed someone.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed this race and I have already recommended it to others. I will also be putting it on my calender for next year and I look forward to improving my times. My only suggestions (take with a grain of salt as I am a rookie) would be: 1) More trash cans in the vacinity. I spent a lot of time looking for a can, when my legs were already tired from the event. (poor me, right) 2) A Clydsdale division for us big folk. Since this is the only way I might ever be able to be competitive, I would like it for selfish reasons. (along those same lines, shirts that are XXL). Great race, great people, great weather, and a fun time all the way around.

  • Comments: My goals were to finish, and hopefully not finish last. I would have loved to have finished in less than 2 hours, but I'll take my time considering that prior to February I had never run more than a mile at once. Fun race, and it felt great to finish.

  • Comments: This race is super laid back. No body marking, no color coded swim caps for the waves. In fact - you need to bring your own cap. It's a nice course - the one exception would be the chicken houses on the bike and run course (particularlly the run course - it takes much longer to get past it!!!). But it is a great way to start the season.

  • Comments: Nice race - very fast course - definitely a nice time-trial event if you want to see how fast you can burn up a sprint course. Run a little rough with all the grass running, but nothing impossible, and quite frankly, a somewhat refreshing challenge. Would do this race again.

  • Comments: Great race altogether. The weather held out (barely) which was nice. Probably the nicest race shirt I've gotten - long sleeve with a very cool swim/bike/run graphic.
