  • Comments: As this was my first race, I really have no point of reference to rate it or compare it to others. It seemed reasonably organized, but was also a very small race and had a small-town feel to it. It was a very pleasant and easy course, a wonderful race to do for your first one.

  • Comments: A really nice small (400 participants) race that is well-run. Good parking and easy to get to/from the event. Bonus points for having 8 massage tables there at the end of the race. Also, after the Rockford Olympic tri, I really appreciated a weed-free swim.

  • Comments: Being my first tri I felt this was pretty organized. The course was well marked and the crowd was great. The really got me through the finish line strong. There was only one aid station (not sure if that's normal or not). I really enjoyed my first tri and will be doing this one again next year.

  • Comments: My swim coach and her husband head up this race. They are the best. This was my 3rd year doing this race. I will be back next year. Very well organized and awesome people. Thank you to my great friend Terri for pushing me and just being there! And thank you to my wonderful and always supportive fiance!

  • Comments: Huge improvement for my second triathlon. Was absolutely stoked when I saw my time. Getting my medal during the awards ceremony was the greatest feeling ever. Hope to improve even more at the next one. Unfortunately that won't be until next season.

  • Comments: Another great race in Portage. They seem to be very well organized and will definitely do this one again. So close to home anyway!! Great meeting some new BTers and had a blast.

  • Comments: This is a very well run race. The lake is weed free, the course is well marked and the volunteers were helpful. The only negative is the cross country run, but even with that I highly recommend it.
