  • Comments: it was my worst race in nyc out of 4 races. was not feeling well for 2 weeks before so my training was not great. Love the race and hope to do it again next year.

  • Comments: Logistics of bike drop and pick up are a royal PITA. Other than that this is a fun race.

  • Comments: I LOVE this race. I like the time trial start with the slower people first. There is virtually no bunching up and everyone finishes close to the same time. You never feel like the race is already over before you start, like it is for us old ladies. Note: I was really pleased with my seemingly poor performance, when a straw pole in the waiting area for all of the women over 50, over half had completed IM's and of them, most had completed more than 1. I was with some amazing women athletes.

  • Comments: Best race I ever went to. I was really blown away with how well this event is organized, given its size. It was a perfect race weekend in every way. I would do it every year if I could.

  • Comments: Wish I did better on the bike but still beat my time from last year by 4 minutes. Had a tough recovery cause I wasn't feeling well before race and ended up pushing myself .

  • Comments: Gender place: 993 / 2376; great race and very happy with overall performance; first triathlon in three years (since 2010 NYC Tri) and an overall PR by 15 mins, and a PR in each discipline - by 1 min in swim, 7 mins in bike and 5 mins on run, between the prior three times i've done the NYC tri.... it feels great to be back!!!

  • Comments: This was a fantastically run event. There were thousands of volunteers who were great through the entire event. I can't thank them enough for all they did over the course of the weekend. Everything was timely and smoothly run. It was a very cool experience to swim in the Hudson and bike on the Henry Hudson Parkway. It was a bucket list race for me and I'm glad I did it once.

  • Comments: I gave this race a 5 because I loved the great volunteers that were situated along the bike, run and swim course. NYC is my hometown and I loved participating in this race. Hope to get in through the lottery next year.

  • Comments: Great organization, volunteers everywhere, and a great job in coordinating the whole thing in what has to be as challenging a city as possible. If I lived closer, I 'd do this race again, but coming from 3 states away, the time, cost, logistics of it all likely make me a one-and-done for this tri. However, I highly recommned this to anyone who can get in. Fun, well run race!!

  • Comments: This was a very high-end professionally run race. The volunteers were great and I loved the energy associated with this race. It is pricey but well worth the price. Looking forward to racing next year.

  • Comments: I was in the first wave, so I had everything going for me (current, no crowds on the bike, lower temperature). The whole weekend was awesome. The organization was tremendous, the volunteers were amazing! Something to be said for seeing tri-bikes all over the place in the New York Hilton lobby and on the subway. Just a great weekend and a race to remember. Too bad performance wasn't what I had hoped for.

  • Comments: I loved this race. The bike ride was amazing even with all the hills. I loved the sights throughout the ride including the GW Bridge, row of Trump buildings, the river, graffiti and woodland areas. The volunteers and spectators along the run were great. This race is tied for my favorite race to date.

  • Comments: Great race. I will volunteer next year if I don't get it. It's unfortunate it was marred this year by rain and 2 deaths on the swim. 72/393 for AG - top 20% 345/2086 for gender - almost top 15% ;)

  • Comments: I loved this race. It was a lot of fun. It started an hour late due to the rain and some traffic accidents on the bike course that had to be cleared up, but I cannot blame the race organizers for that. I would definitely do this race again.

  • Comments: They started the race a half hour late due to an accident on the West Side Highway that needed to be cleaned up but the communication and organization was superb especially when you consider this was in NYC>
