  • Comments: I enjoyed this race very much being that it's my first real Sprint Triathlon and because it is local. I think Jim and Mary and the volunteers did a great job, especially with the crappy weather we had all morning.

  • Comments: I was third overall and was first in my agegroup. So I was thrilled. A friend of mine beat me for the first time. Not so pleasant. Talking with friends was awesome. Julia was a great volunteer. She did it all. THanks to Ryan for picking up the pocket knife I won. Wow what a great prize. First time ever being in the top 3 overall! The race was cold and disorganized. Nothing was on time and the RD should have told us the bike courrse was long. Congrats to Adam for 1st in age group. Stacie, 3rd in agegroup and the rest of the gang for setting PR's and racing well.

  • Comments: Race seemed a bit disorganized. There was no pre-race meeting so people were everwhere on the bike course, no mount-dismount line so people were on/off their bike at the mats and they lengthened the bike course by 2 miles without even telling us. Quite a difference from the in organization and competitiveness of the field from the 5430 series. Still I had a good race & had fun so I was happy at the end. Turns out I missed the podium by just 13 minutes, so dropping my helmet didn't matter one bit.

  • Comments: Hopefully I don't come across as too negative on this race since some of that was due to me not being able to get too pumped up for it. However, it didn't start on time (possibly due to the rain) and the start wasn't as organized as last year. Last year you had to line up according to numbers in your AG. This year it was very scattered. Also, coming into T2 they had a dismount line last year rather than people dismounting right in front of the gates/all over the place. There were a couple other small things as well but it could just be me being picky so I won't mention it.

  • Comments: Glad to end the season with an AG win after suffering at the HIM. It's a small race, and winning AG isn't like winning at one of the Boulder races, but it still feels good. I was happy with my pacing too, especially since I had been sick early in the week and still feel run down from the half.

  • Comments: This was supposed to be a race for fun. The weather kind of dampened that. I also made way too many mistakes. I forgot a jacket, extra shoes, my sun glasses on the ride. I haven't trained much because of the Baby (I'm o.k. with this one.). Also the Rain made for a miserable day, though the run was good. I did learn not to prod Ryan into running harder. I saw him about 1/2 a mile behind me after the turn around and told him to catch me. BIG mistake. Right as they were calling out my name at the finish, the Orange blur zipped by. Overall, it was fun and it was good to see all the Btr's especially those doing this as their first real tri. Welcome to the Club. I wish I had trained better and had performed better, but like I said above this was for fun, so I can't be to hard on myself. We'll see how the Fall Frenzy goes. :)

  • Comments: The race was well organized and fun. The food was okay, but it didn't look like there was much offered in the way of post race activities.

  • Comments: I love this race and look forward to it ever year. The only bad thing is that it means the end of summer is near! This is my last tri of the year, off to IMAZ 06 training starting next month. I will keep you updated.

  • Comments: I had a great time at this race. Aside from it being well organized, it was cool to hang out with all the BTers before and after the race, as well as being able to see familiar faces on the course. Definitely helped ease some of the pain. I think it was a good BT day out there too with Mark getting an AG win, Ovetta dropping a ridiculous amount of time off of last year, Adam kickin butt on the swim, and other PRs abound. I'd do it again.

  • Comments: Good late season race. Limited to 500 participants, but there was a waiting list of 400 PEOPLE after the race filled up!!!!! That goes to show how popular it is.

  • Comments: This was my best race of the season and I'm so stoked. I took more than 20 minutes off my time last year on both the bike and the run and T1. I'm so excited. It it so good to see improvment. I didn't hurt at all during this race and I know I'm nearly ready for my 1/2IM. So stoked. Woo Hoo.

  • Comments: For some reason I did not feel very amped about this race. Got alot of things coming up for me, and have a lot of things on my plate right now so maybe that affected me. My training has been a little off for the last month. I just didn't feel that sense of urgency during the race like I did for Fort Collins. Weird. This was my last race for the season so I will take it easy and hit the weights now that my wrist is feeling good (surgery). Start back in Feb or Mar and look at an early 06 race. Mad spect to Ryan (himself) for puttin me up for the night. Deciding to not drive down the day of the race was the best decision I made. And the wetsuit :)
