  • Comments: Cap City is a great event, with a challenging course. A great way to baseline following the winter months, gearing up for race season.

  • Comments: Will not do this race again- the finish line and the cattle like herding of people into Columbus Commons was a joke. Too many people in a too small of space. The band was too loud so no one could hear cel phones or what anyone was saying. For your money the Flying Pig is a better race, even with that huge hill :) I'm in for the 10K next year!

  • Comments: Great race, great volunteers, great post-race (Although I had to leave early), and great course to give you a decent sample of Columbus with good crowd support. I highly recommend it.

  • Comments: Really nice race - course was nice, well-organized, plenty of water and aid stations. I was surprised at the quickness of the start - at Columbus, I waited 20 minutes just to get to the start line, but I think this one was 3-5 minutes. Less people, though :) The end was a bit messy - I had to dead stop after crossing the finish line, which isn't ideal. There was a backlog of people looking to get pictures and pick up their medals (understandable, as you couldn't go back in later). The volunteers tried to get people moving, but I think it was a space/setup issue. After party was nice - loved the Snowville chocolate milk, please keep that! And the champagne is nice too. Wasn't a big fan of the cover band, but that could be personal preference. Nice race - I will do it again!

  • Comments: The corral was terrible and hard to get out of this year. I also felt like the water stations were poorly spaced. They were not consistently spaced so it was hard to time when they would appear.

  • Comments: Last year I hit the wall hard at this very race, so this was more about hitting back. I PR'd by 2min despite pacing my friend through 6 before working down to race pace. Hopefully this sets up a nice season to come.

  • Comments: This was a well run race, with plenty of volunteers and entertainment along a nice route through Columbus. Just a top notch effort. So while I am disappointed with my results, I have really nothing to complain about regarding the race itself and how it was run.

  • Comments: An excellent event! This was my first "large" race in terms of number of participants, so I was nervous about running in the packs. The organization of the race, the course itself, and the weather (!) were all terrific and helped me to be more relaxed and just run my race (PR'd by over 5 minutes).

  • Comments: Parking was a little haphazard. Lots were closed, then opened, then closed. Seemed to be lots of trouble with the 5k route.

  • Comments: Only thing that prevented a 5 rating was at one of the water stations they were out of filled cups and were filling them as we went by. Too slow. Skipped that one. Also water on both sides of the road would have been nice. It was a real crush of people, many of whom stop or walk while drinking, and it was hard to grab and go.

  • Comments: I enjoyed this one. The weatherman was calling for rain yeasterday but it was a really beautiful day for a foot race. Slightly overcast and cool. We didn't get a drop of rain all weekend.

  • Comments: Good race. Last year they promised a lot and didn't always deliver. This year they didn't promise as much. They have LOTS of potties at the start/finish, which is great. Decent amount of fans, but no music out on the course, except one spot. No pace running groups/signs. But I had a great one. No complaints, really!

  • Comments: Excellent beginner race; John Bingham really does up the beginner-friendly part of this race. LOTS of support, LOTS of water tables, and some crazy fun regular people doing the race. HIGHLY recommended for beginners.

  • Comments: An excellent race for beginners, as John Bingham events are supposed to be -- very flat, very well organized, lots of volunteers. Comparatively expensive for a race, but you get a cool medal.
