  • Comments: The guy next to me racked his damn bike in T2 right on top of my helmet and broke the shield and ear flap. You'd think in the elite wave, they'd rack their bike straight. I'm still a bit hacked off about it. The race was run well as usual. Right on time and also allowed us to receive awards early because of the weather.

  • Comments: I was a bit surprised at the AG win. I thought the overall effort was there, just had issues I couldn't shake. Felt good about pushing through. Afterwards, a few of us went to another race location to scout the course. Cut it off at about 20 miles and went home.

  • Comments: A nice race. Really it is a long drive for me but it is a nice area. It seems to always want to rain here. Must be time of the year

  • Comments: how can you argue with post-race pancakes, seriously? run course likely a smidge short...I'm not capable of those splits right now. call it 1.9mi each and I'll believe it (but this only matters if you're hyper vigilant on tracking performances...reality is everyone did the same course you did). bike course is spot-on for distance and has just enough variety to keep things interesting. long time racer, first time at this event...thought the organizers did a good job.

  • Comments: Midwest Sports Events puts on some of the biggest races in the area. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of organization at the start. They needed more people handing out packets and doing body marking. But I really do enjoy their races and everything else I thought was top notch. Great to see Amy Jo, Terry and Jim even if it was for only a little bit. Nice to hear Nicole and Kim out there..lots of other support from my PRO team mates who came out to watch and volunteer as well.

  • Comments: So the race was fun, but the POST RACE was hilarious. I should have written down all the random/hilarious things said but I don't think I would have had a notebook big enough, ha! Some highlights: - It took THREE people to finally lead us to an appropriate place to eat. One of those people NOT being the only guy who lived in the area (coughjimcough) - clint stayed at home and did laundry while terri drank a bloody mary...what a beautiful marriage ;) - Pam dies her dog blue. No wait - her pond. Is your dog named pond? - Pam said "do you know what I can do one-handed?" (I didn't want to know but the answer was 'kayak') - Davey had ball cramps. Everyone's hands went up in the air - Wasn't me! - I like spleens. Jim doesn't have one. That's a real shame as it's my favorite organ. - Pam doesn't know how many pounds a one pound bag weighs. Jim wagers it's 1 pound. Nicole had no idea what just happened. Davey was laughing so hard I think he almost pooped his pants. -

  • Comments: Had a blast with the donk's. I thought I should get home so Clint could get his twelve miler in. Peer pressure won out. Was gonna stop at a local haunt, but DJ was leading and that was not a wise choice. He ended up taking us all out to 94 and then to Delafield. Had I known that, I would've taken control. Pulled into Perkins...well, if I am going to stop for a bloody mary it's not going to be from Perkins. So, I said the Delafield Brewhaus....or what I thought it was. So, I led the pack across the road to the wrong parking lot. I knew you could see it from the highway, so where the hell was it. Pam says "you mean waterstreet brewery right there" and points across the parking lot. So, we ended up there, had an awesome bloody served by ken, I mean tom, or is it Tim. Gave him a hard time and it would've been soooo easy to sit there all day and laugh my ass off with the donks. Pulled the plug at one and left with a fake trip to make everyone laugh. Yah, I'm a comedian.

  • Comments: Here is where it gets interesting...a trip to Water Street Brewery (waukesha I think) after Terri and Stacey said no way to Perkins. (they don't serve Bloody Marys), and after two different people taking the lead, and not getting us where we want...Ended up with Tim as our very patient water. Don't believe what the others say, cause they are going to make up some things that I SUPPOSEDLY said! Yes, true, I almost inhaled a pimento. And, Jim answered my question "it depends on how much a pound weighs". Stacey has a favorite organ (not THAT organ, a spleen), Jim doens't have a spleen, and DJ was amazed that Stacey has a favorite organ. (yeah, like he doesn't????) Nicole just wondered "what just happened there". Terri was just "hiding the donkey", and tripped on her way out. (I forgot to say "walk safe" when I told her to drive safe). Tim and most of the place just couldn't figure out what was so darn funny at our booth. Hmmm, there were many quite unusual statements, but most are not fit

  • Comments: The rain sucked a big one, but hurricane Ike had to go somewhere. Not too much anyone can do about that. I really like the breakfast afterwords. I wish more races had this, instead of some of the crap they have. I will do it next year for this reason alone. Only one bad thing to say. The website said we got a tech-t. What we got was a cotton long sleeve. Oh-well, I am happy that I got anything I guess.

  • Comments: As craptacular as this race was I feel good for a few reasons. First, I hope I had a breakthrough with the fear thing on the rainy bike. Second, this performance is so poor that it has a helped light a fire under me for the off season. That is a good thing.

  • Comments: Nice way to finish the multisport season (I think). Fastest run and bike paces for the season so hard to complain. Beat last year's time by about 3 minutes even though the bike was almost a mile longer. Really enjoyed this race and seeing some of my BT friends (also talltridad) was an added bonus. This race is on the cusp of being too big though.

  • Comments: It may sound strange, but this was the first race I really 'raced.' Most other races I just stayed in my comfort zone. This one I went outside my comfort zone and pushed my limits and it felt great. This the best I have ranked among the field, but, more importantly, I am pleased as to how I ranked against myself I have much work to do in the off season, but I am pleased with were I have come this season.
