I would like to congratulate Rob for his 9:34 finish today and also for his qualification for Kona.

2nd AG and something like 19th OA.

GREAT RACE ROB.

Couldnt happen to a nicer guy (well, other than me of course, but I have a few years methinks).  Awesome job Rob.  Looking forward to seeing what ya throw down next year as you sure lived up to expecations this year!

A great example of someone who set a goal last year and worked his azz off to get it. Oh, and as Jszat said, a pretty nice guy to boot. Congrats. Rob.

Awesome job Rob.  I kept reading your training logs all spring and summer and kept saying to myself (didn't want to tell you and jinx it though) "that guy is gonna go 9:30" Pretty darn close for a prediction.  Aloha!!!!

Yes, Great job.  I also was thinking 9:30/40 for you, but didn't want to jinx it.  But I predicted a top 10 marathon, too.  And you came in 11.....Slacker

Honestly, at the age of 27 with that kind of potential he should go pro. I think he can easily go top 10 in Hawaii this year in his AG. Give it a few more years of developing a more mature aerobic engine, he could go top 20 overall. A marathon split like he put up is amazing.

I'll have to check again, but wasn't Rob within 20-25 minutes of the 5th place pro? How cool is that?

He was about 32 minutes from 5th, but about 21 minutes from top 10 overall.

Thanks everyone for the words!! I really appreciate it.  Yesterday was epic.  Totally elated with how the race went and the results suprised even myself.  The clock said 9:44 when I finished, but I later found out that was the pro time!  We couldnt have had a better day out there yesterday.  Thanks for rooting us all on!!  Congrats to all the finishers as well.
