Hello BT! Good morning to you!4:15am: 60 mins/17.75 on the KK5:15am: some more stretching of the piriformis. What a pain in the butt! (ba dump bum). I'm going to take a small massage ball to sit on since I will be driving my team to Reno today--I'm sure I'll hear all sorts of jokes from them. State is tomorrow--I have a couple of boys that could medal...crossing my fingers!Have a great day and good luck to racers! Kahy--can't wait to hear how IMFL goes for you. You are totally my idol!

Good luck to you and your team, Kim!

Maybe some yoga or easy spinning on the trainer later. Today was a travel day for me, so that took much of the wind out of my sails.

Good morning to you! Sorry to hear about the piriformis, but I can sympathize as I've had that problem for a few years. Between stretching and the chiropractor it's pretty must under control except for long drives in the car. Hope you feel better - not sure it ever really goes away fully.

And good luck with the team. After last week's performance I'm sure they are still really stoked.

As for me, going to take the bike out today. It actually has dust on it, so I'm sure it's not happy with me. Hoping it's easier to ride with blisters than it was for running yesterday.

Kim: Best of luck with the piriformis. I have had it chronically with occasional flare-ups for over ten years. Really a true "pain in the butt". I figure something has to keep me from running myself silly/going too fast! Stretching/icing helps.

Yanti: Hati-hati. Have you tried sticky rice? Haven't had typhoid but some pretty yuck food poisoning episodes. I find it's very digestible (maybe not if you're one of these no-gluten types though) and good at keeping your insides together. Keep envying your long naps. I'm not sick, just lazy and from a family of world-class sleepers. Two speeds--"full speed ahead" and "crash".

My easy day today--1600m of swimming--R and R before another hard weekend. Singapore doesn't look like it'll work out with work and available flights, so you don't have to feel bad about taking all their Power Bars.  Laughing Mom is getting me a couple cases of Mojo Bars for Christmas.

Early morning in the pool. The strap on my goggles broke as I got in the pool, so a whole lot less of a quality workout then I had hoped for. 30 minutes.

Kim, Good luck on the race this weekend!

Good luck, Kim!

I have a race on Sunday:  A cross-country run, they say it's "4+ miles".  One of the rules is you MUST duct tape your shoes to your ankles so they don't get sucked off your feet in the mud.  Can't wait!

This morning, short swim, 1200 yards:  100 w/u, 300 kick drills, 3x200, 2x50 sprints, 100 c/d.

70 min zone 2 on dreadmill.

Learned something new today, treadmill at gym shuts off at 60 min, had to restart it.

Hopefully the track is back open Mon.

Nice having an indoor .4 mile track.

Good Luck Kathy!!
and good luck to your crew Kim!!

I did a 1/2 hour on a treadmill at noon, going easy to nurse a nagging hip/butt pain.

Have fun. I hope your guys run well and stay injury free.

I did a short run at lunch today. After my fall Wednesday night, I've been worried about running at night. I need to get over that or I'm not going to get much running in during the winter.

Today I found out the results of the 5k I ran last Saturday.  I was 33/163 overall; 15th woman to finish; and from what I can tell, 1st in my age group. I was pretty happy about that. Still no times. They just listed us all in order of when we finished. lol
