When does Triathlon season end??

 Denver |  Subject: When does Triathlon season end??So this being my first season ever, is there a typical time when Tri season shuts down? I'm guessing it depends on where you live and how cold it gets? I live in Texas and it starts getting cold around Octoberish. Just asking because Im trying to fit as many in as I can before it gets too cold to do them....... |

Well, technically I don't think it ever ends per se, but RACING season does end...and up here in Chicago, at least for me, it usually ends with the Accenture (Chicago) triathlon, which is August 24th...that is, unless I decide to do Lake Geneva which is September 6th...but I have done 5 races this year, and I am pretty tired! |

My last race is September 13 or 21 and the earliest races are mid-April, but most start at end of May/beginning of June. It's so cold... I was just realizing that it's almost time for me to leave for work and get home without ever seeing daylight and running with long pants, layers, gloves, and a hat... |

For arguements sake I would say all races in Dallas are over by October and you can find some starging in March/April with pool swims. |

I suppose runnign goes longer than tri because the most (cold) temperature sensitive part of a tri is the swim. I'm (hopefully) doing a marathon in December. (Granted, I live in the Southeast....) |
